What you will do

The Training Lead is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of site wide training programs in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards in areas including, but not limited to Environmental Health and Safety, Quality, GMP and Production. This requires facilitation across multiple independent departments as well as the coordination of the training teams within those departments. The successful candidate is required to effectively use the adult training model to ensure Compliance Training program provides the required motivation reinforcement, retention and transfer of knowledge.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Learning Management Systems (ComplianceWire, Veeva etc) to ensure it is effectively deployed to all site functions

  • Engage with management, employees and departments to identify and meet the training and development needs for all functions

  • Develop and deploy Train-the-Trainer workshops as part of the Train the Trainer program

  • Site Metrics collection, forecasting and reporting

  • Support, train and coached identified learning management system administrators

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement for training related processes and tools

  • Design, develop, deliver and/or organize learning events, workshops and on the job learning programs

  • Guide and train employees on Good Documentation Practices

  • Organize and deliver New Hire Orientation Sessions.

  • Conduct Quality Approval of Work instructions and Job aids as a delegate to the Quality Systems Manager.

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage daily workload to ensure timely completion of quality projects and assignments.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels to promote quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.

 

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in a Quality or R&D environment in the pharmaceutical food or water industries

  • Strong computer skills, proficient knowledge and skills in site Learning Management Systems is an asset

  • Ability to influence people at different levels in a matrix organization

  • Ability to engage and align with other diverse and dispersed organizations and functions

  • Independent and analytical thinking

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and function effectively in a team environment is essential

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload

  • Demonstrated problem solving and multitasking capabilities

  • Excellent decision making abilities

  • Knowledge of Process Excellence and Lean is an asset

  • Fundamental skills in quality management systems and regulatory compliance

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven ability to apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve quality processes innovatively

  • Strong proficiency in quality management software and data visualization tools to drive insightful analysis

  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting regulatory standards and translating them into practical quality solutions

  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing syndicated data and generating comprehensive reports to support quality decisions

  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in PowerPoint and Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, macros, and pivot tables

  • Excellent communication skills with a flair for presenting complex quality data in an engaging and understandable manner

 

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$72,000.00 - $116,150.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
