What you will do

The Artwork Process Leader drives strategic, digital-first, and brand-centric artwork operations across APAC—from briefing to final release. You will lead a team of Artwork Controllers, own deviation management and RCA/CAPA effectiveness, act as process guardian, enable cross-functional collaboration, and scale global initiatives regionally. You will also facilitate APAC office hours to support stakeholders on process and systems, while maintaining compliance, data integrity, and speed-to-market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership & Strategy: Act as the SPOC for artwork process, local brands and portfolio teams; provide strategic decisions jointly with the Hub Lead; lead global and regional initiatives and implement global standards across APAC.
  • End-to-End Artwork Process Ownership: Attend scope meetings; ensure accurate content submission and content lock without pending decisions; prevent changes during artwork review and approval; assess vendor resource needs and SLAs based on project scope; assign Artwork Controllers; track initiation-to-approval routing and enforce strict process adherence.
  • Artwork Studio & Printer Collaboration: Partner with artwork studios and printers; resolve pre-press and print-readiness issues; implement CAPA actions based on non-conformances.
  • Compliance: Participate in content lock meetings to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • RCA/CAPA & Deviation Management: Lead root cause analyses with vendors across artwork design, proofreading, pre-press, and print processes; implement, verify, and sustain CAPA actions; maintain issue logs and closure timelines; manage credit memos as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies across APAC (upstream and downstream); drive continuous improvement initiatives; escalate systemic blockers to Hub Lead; contribute insights for SteerCo presentations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Join calls with Packaging, Quality, DRC & SGK; track and close action items; align on deliverables and timelines; act as intermediary between regional teams and global hub.
  • Systems & Data Governance: Manage Veraciti system issues and escalate to Tech & Data; ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and SLA compliance with vendors and internal teams.
  • Capability Building & Trainings: Lead and coach Artwork Controllers; identify training needs and deliver upskilling sessions; create and maintain training documentation; facilitate APAC office hours on process and systems.
  • Reporting & Insights: Provide regular status updates to Artwork Hub Lead; publish performance dashboards and process insights to Hub Lead & SMEs; monitor backlog, throughput, and path-to-green plans for escalations.
  • Leading KPIs
  • On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery for artwork projects.
  • Cycle time adherence: brief-to-content-lock, studio upload, request-to-approval, and final file release.
  • Accurate content submission rate.
  • First-Time-Right (FTR) rate; rework % per project/brand.
  • Deviation rate and rejection rate.
  • RCA closure time and CAPA effectiveness.
  • SLA compliance with vendors; backlog/throughput trends.
  • System data quality (completeness and metadata accuracy).
  • Cost avoidance/recovery via credit memos and pre-press error prevention.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Packaging Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years in labeling design, proofreading, coordination, regulatory, packaging, and project management in consumer health, pharma, or medical devices.
  • Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements for labeling and packaging.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams in deadline-driven environments.
  • Hands-on experience with PLM/electronic artwork systems (Agile, GLAMS, Loftware, Veraciti, Veeva).
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).
  • Pre-press and print know-how: CMYK, Pantone, dielines, bleed, trapping, overprint, color management.
  • Skilled in proofreading tools (TVT, GlobalVision, InformCC) and regulatory content validation.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent continuous improvement experience) & lean principles application; PMP a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with printers and printing environments.
  • Familiarity with APAC market-specific regulatory nuances.
  • Exposure to digital labeling, smart packaging, or artwork analytics.
