What you will do

As Assistant Brand Manager, this person will be part of the Business Unit team and is responsible for assisting and contributing to the brand strategy adoption based on the new global operating model for individual brands to drive commercial effectiveness locally. In addition, this person will drive excellence in partnership with the Marketing Activation Manager & Brand Manager to activate and execute across Mental and Physical Availability measures translating global brand plans into vibrant in-market activation across Australia and New Zealand.

This position will be based out of Sydney.

Media and Brand Excellence

  • Execute asset development & optimization: transcreate, evaluate & syndicate coordinated content and communications planning across campaigns, social, PR, content and Retail using SOBG principles by translating global brand plans into vibrant in-market activation across Australia and New Zealand in conjunction with Brand Activation Lead & Marketing Activation Manager.

  • Assist with the data-driven marketing media strategy including: execution and optimization, target audience, data strategy and campaign development, cross-channel consumer experience programming and coordination using local best practices

  • Execution of communication assets provided by global with addition of non-key communication assets (e.g. online banner/ social media ads), Social Media & Influence Management as aligned with Brand Activation Lead & Marketing Activation Manager

  • Assist in the activation and execution across Mental and Physical Availability measures translating global brand plans into vibrant in-market activation across Australia and New Zealand.

  • Assist in partnership with Shopper, Health Care Professionals (HCP), E-Commerce and Social/Digital including leading execution of project deliverables to deliver initiatives with excellence e.g. artwork, GCCs, GS1s, Trade samples etc

  • Lead ownership of 6PAI ecommerce digital content for individual brands

Category Customer Excellence

  • Assist in the Strategic Portfolio Management including market assortment, distribution plan, promotion plan & pricing

  • Assist in the Joint Business Planning including customer relationship management and customer activations

  • Assist in development of key presentations for range reviews and customer strategy days

Putting our People First

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team to align behind objectives and win in market to deliver sales, share and profit targets

  • Build strong and broad relationships across the local business and through the regional and global brand teams to make a positive impact on the business output of these different teams and working groups.

  • Assist in growth planning process alongside Brand Activation Manager & Marketing Activation Manager

Analytics & Support

  • Focus externally to lead for today and tomorrow to; lead the analysis and insight into data reporting on key metrics such as market share, penetration

  • Lead brand BME reconciliation through working with the Brand Activation Manager & Finance to ensure budget accuracy.

  • Lead invoice management on behalf of team (eg. raising POs)

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in brand management or marketing within the FMCG industry
  • University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a team environment and exhibit strong leadership skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills with ability to find innovative solutions

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing brands in competitive markets
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in MSOffice applications
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
