What you will do
The Assoc. Manager - Warehouse is responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations, delegating tasks to ensure efficient workflow, coordinating maintenance and inventory activities, and enforcing safety and environmental standards. You will collaborate with other departments to optimize material flow, manage budgets, and address operational challenges to support overall business goals:
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise warehouse teams to optimize inventory flow and daily operations, including receiving, order picking, packing, shipping, and maintenance, ensuring seamless workflow and productivity.
Develop and implement strategic warehouse layouts and resource allocation plans that enhance operational efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and optimize staffing and task assignments.
Champion the integration of automation tools, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to forecast demand, streamline supply chain processes, and support special projects.
Design, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety protocols and environmental regulations that comply with standards and promote a proactive safety-first mindset among all team members.
Mentor junior supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, proactive problem-solving, and clear performance goal setting with ongoing monitoring and adjustment of strategies.
Authorize and oversee routine maintenance and repairs of warehouse equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, to maintain operational integrity.
Conduct and analyze periodic inventory audits, promptly resolving discrepancies while ensuring proper storage and safety compliance.
Prepare and present detailed productivity and status reports to management, utilizing data-driven insights to monitor progress, inform decision-making, and contribute to budget planning and cost control.
Resolve operational issues impacting customer satisfaction, logistics, and quality to uphold service standards and operational excellence.
Ensure warehouse operations are consistently audit-ready by maintaining compliance with internal controls, SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; proactively address gaps identified through internal, external, or regulatory audits.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent with a strong foundation in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
6-8 years of progressive experience in warehouse supervision or management, demonstrating strong operational leadership.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex business and operational data to drive improvements.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively across departments and with external partners.
Working knowledge of audit readiness, internal controls, and compliance requirements within warehouse or supply chain operations.
Desired Qualifications
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, matrixed organizational environment.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and manage conflict effectively.
Experience with syndicated data and ability to leverage insights for operational planning and decision-making.
Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks and manage resources efficiently to meet organizational objectives.
Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Innovative thinker with a passion for adopting emerging trends and best practices in warehouse management. Inclined and driven to provide solutions through automation and digitization.
Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision making and process optimization.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to effectively lead diverse teams and collaborate across departments.
