What you will do:
The Business Unit Head (BUH) is responsible for developing our customer relationships and brand execution across our category development and customer marketing teams.
You will lead a broad team across both functions, focusing on driving engagement, development and high performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Owning the UK “Perfect Store” agenda, driving execution standards across our key retailers
Identifying and unlocking opportunities to drive Presence and Prominence of our brands in stores, ensuring sustained TDP growth and improved share of shelf and shelf position for our products
Driving our Must Stock Lists across key retailers and channels
Working with the retailers and Kenvue Category Strategy & Regional teams to identify and implement strategies and plans to unlock category growth
Delivering best-in-class customer and category growth narratives and identifying opportunities for longer term growth
Ensure proactive management of category performance, highlighting progress, risk and opportunities.
Building sustainable partnerships with retailers based on objective category insights
Driving our customer marketing effectiveness across the retailers, supporting the team to develop and deploy consistent executions across Kenvue brand assets to drive conversion at the point of purchase.
Building partnerships with retail media agencies and customers to accelerate and evolve our delivery in the retail media space
Driving engagement across the business for our executional excellence strategy.
You will play a pivotal role within the customer, owning mid-level contacts across a range of functions, supporting their team with more junior buyers, and working with their line manager to win with more senior personnel.
As the primary people manager within the Category and Shopper Team, you will inspire the team to deliver brilliantly against our objectives, act as an expert coach and ensure that our talent agenda is delivered.
Successful BUH’s need the drive and focus to consistently deliver results in the short term, but also the ability to interpret customer strategy and lead Kenvue strategic response to it.
Qualifications
Key Requirements for the role:
Minimum of 8+ years track record of delivering consistent category growth within customers in developed FMCG markets in blue chip FMCG environments
Experience of working within major grocery retailers e.g. Sainsbury’s, Tesco
Experience of category development and customer marketing, particularly in the fields of:
Retail Media & RM Networks
Shopper Marketing – working with shopper agencies and retailers
Developing compelling and effective brand activations in a retail environment
Leading strategic direction of a team and challenging the status quo
Strong leadership skills, with the proven track record to encourage and develop a team
Unbreakable entrepreneurial spirit & growth mindset; someone who proactively identifies issues and opportunities and leads the response of their team/the broader business to them!
Knowledge of omni-channel is desirable
High levels of intellectual capacity and curiosity.
Strong understanding of the business cycle and focus on the commercial fundamentals
Strong proven ability to successfully influence and partner with major retailers to create value
Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working in a matrixed, regional FMCG environment.
Expertise in trade marketing with a strong track record of delivering range reviews, category strategy implementation, and pricing/ mix optimization.
Data-driven mindset with knowledge of retail tracking tools and performance dashboards.
Experience partnering with RGM
Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
