What you will do

What You Will Do 

The position is responsible for:

  • As a Procurement buyer for North America Chemicals, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient supply of essential raw materials for our consumer health products. Your responsibilities will span across regional sub-category management, risk mitigation, compliance management and vendor relationship management. 

  • Buyer will support implementation of the Global Category strategies, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Execution:

    • Implement global strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

    • Drive initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience and reduce risks associated with sourcing.

    • Implement best practices to improve overall procurement efficiency.

  • Negotiation Skills:

    • Exhibit strong negotiation skills while dealing with suppliers and contract terms.

    • Secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions for procurement.

  • Analytical Skills:

    • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions.

    • Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, and supplier performance metrics.

  • Financial Tools Familiarity:

    • Proficient in using financial tools such as Anaplan and SAP / OneS4 for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

    • Drive Y-o-Y productivity and scanning for new opportunities

  • Vendor Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

    • Collaborate closely with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

  • Risk Management:

    • Identify and assess risks related to supply, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.

    • Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in: Engineering, Science (Pharmaceutical, Chemistry), Business

  • Procurement / Supply Chain experience

  • Experience in MS Office applications – MS Excel & PowerPoint

  • Fluent English

  • Chemicals Knowledge, Procurement Knowledge – Strategic Sourcing, Supplier & industry knowledge

  • Strong expertise with financial tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Broad Healthcare & Life Sciences (preferable), Personal Care or Chemical industries
