HybridWhat you will do
Provision of a Quality & Compliance service to the MENAP business units and includes relevant links to external licensing authorities, internal quality standards, global quality systems and the internal Quality & Compliance organization. This position also provides oversight and advice to the distributors used in different countries. This person has the responsibility for ensuring that the appropriate Quality & Compliance standards and systems are implemented and maintained within MENAP operations. Also, that all external suppliers and service providers are qualified and relevant agreements are in place with them. Represent MENAP in the internal Quality links to Regional and Corporate QA through the following main groups of tasks:
Quality Management: being the main business contact for the reporting, communication, and resolution of quality issues.
Procedures: Adhere to/with external licensing authorities, internal quality standards, systems and business processes and procedures.
Inspections / Audits: Perform key responsibilities relating to standards, procedures, and training.
Quality Activities: Contribute to operational effectiveness for the delivery of corporate quality. Manage responsibilities within RAMET and EMEA CQ as defined.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Quality Management
Act as main point of contact for all quality relating communications and queries with suitable back-up in place when needed.
Implement, maintain, and contribute to the local Quality system according to Global / Regional / Cluster / Country requirements as documented in the Quality Manual.
Collaborate with other business functions to provide QA input and/or review for new projects, concepts, or product launches in MENAP
Procedures
Create, implement, and maintain compliant and effective procedures that will meet the local business needs.
Effectively manage all local procedures and associated documentation according to standard record retention procedures.
Provide QA input to marketing, sales and distribution activities, procedures, and systems.
Contribute and assist with the effective implementation and maintenance of regional procedures.
When/where requested provide input to draft or revised global and regional procedures.
Inspections / Audits
Support and where required conduct local internal and external quality audits and inspection.
Provide management and follow-up services for local authority inspections.
Quality Activities
Maintain all systems, records, and reports as prescribed by the quality manual.
Input into development projects, management of quality issues and complaints, recall, interface with official organizations, internal Quality groups, supplier sites and ensure internal quality standards are adhered to.
Ensure products have been developed in full compliance with applicable local requirements.
Liaise with local warehousing/distribution management and monitor any exceptional quarantine requirements.
Liaise with Responsible Person/s for distribution on all quality related issues
Assist with quality management of local third-party contractors in conjunction with Regional CQ
Maintain key performance measures:
- Quality Management and Metrics Review conducted at regular intervals.
- Quality issues (e.g. escalations, recalls, investigations, CAPA’s, etc.) managed and resolved satisfactorily and timely.
- Quality system maintained to meet regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Co-Pack and Rework approvals.
- Finished Put Up Specification approvals.
- First Article Inspection approvals.
- Internal Audit schedule maintained.
- Supplier and Distributor Audit Schedules.
Specific requirements
3-5 years of Quality experience & knowledge of quality systems, audits, regulatory compliance.
Good management and leadership skills, capable to lead direct report/s, and influence people at all levels in the organization.
Strong Quality background, with ample knowledge and practice in various manufacturing and quality disciplines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English. Additionally, Arabic language is plus and preferable.
Able to give a strong, pragmatic, and consistent Quality perspective, without giving in to external pressure.
Good Team-worker, able to collaborate across multi-discipline and functional groups (e.g., Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, regional Commercial Quality, external Service providers).
Collaborate and partner with cross-cultural groups & embrace diversity.
Maintain a professional and calm demeanor.
Sufficient support from business colleagues (and personal household) to accommodate frequent travel, both at local and international level.
Essential knowledge and skills:
This role requires a diverse business background, preferably with direct experience in healthcare segment, with specific quality, regulatory and regulatory compliance competencies in the areas of: customer service, distribution and commercial customer interface. Experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with broadly based quality management experience. Experience with the global demands of the role specifically: healthcare regulatory requirements.
