HybridWhat you will do
We are seeking a strategic and versatile Public Affairs & Communications Specialist to support the Head of Corporate Affairs ANZ to deliver high-impact communication initiatives that enhance our reputation, engage internal audiences, and strengthen our public profile. This role blends public affairs, public relations, and employee engagement, and is ideal for a communications and public affairs professional with 5+ years of experience in fast-paced, complex and multi-stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Head of Corporate Affairs ANZ, and relevant internal stakeholders to develop and deliver strategic communication plans for internal and external audiences that enhance reputation, visibility, and stakeholder engagement
- Create and edit high-quality content for media, social media, internal platforms, and executive communications
- Actively monitor media coverage and support on issues or inquiries in a timely and strategic manner
- Partner with internal stakeholders including HR to lead employee engagement initiatives that drive engagement, support change, and reinforce culture.
- Monitor policy developments and industry trends to inform public affairs strategies and stakeholder messaging
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, NGOs, industry bodies, and internal stakeholders
- Analyse communication performance and feedback to improve reach and impact.
- Support cross-functional programs and maintain networks that foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years experience in corporate affairs, public relations or communications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related discipline
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and embrace change in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment
- A collaborative style: interactive with the courage and conviction to challenge and defend ideas and strategies; ability to offer creative pathways or alternative solutions both internally and externally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication platforms.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in consumer goods is a plus
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and editorial excellence
- Event management experience preferred
