What you will do

The Customer Development Group Manager supervises and manages the Kenvue team covering SM Markets and the over-all account management spanning areas of category development, execution excellence and financial governance, and supply chain management. This individual will meet or exceed revenue, distribution and execution objectives through on-time and 100% implementation of sales plans and strategies and development of strategic partnership with key customers: SM Supermarket, Super SM and Alfamart.

Roles and Responsibilities

 People Management

  • Leads and manages the SM Markets x Kenvue team in delivering financial objectives (i.e., sell-in & sell-out GTS, trade investment effectiveness, resources management through DSO & floats settlement) and execution metrics (i.e., NPI, MSL, OSA, merchandising campaigns among others)

  • Manages indirectly support teams (i.e., AR resolution, in-store merchandising)

  • Develops personal development plans of each team member and determines and executes required trainings to further build team capability and competency

  • Conducts periodic coaching and mentoring sessions to re-enforce learning and individual growth of team members

  • Establishes succession planning with high potential individuals identified for ready-now and ready-later positions

  • Endeavors for a highly engaged team with Engage Scores hitting at least 85%

 

Administrative

  • Conducts monthly review of business performance and set out cycle priorities

  • Manages sell-in and sell-out targets and ensures achievement of targets

  • Prepares and submits needed reports (among others - weekly and cut off reports, etc)

  • Liaises between account and head office stakeholders in meeting commitments for brand initiatives (campaigns / NPIs), Pre-QOP/LE and other ad-hoc activities

  • Adheres to vital business tasks: account billings processing and payment, returns processing, CRAF endorsement, customer AR collection, etc

  • Ensures expenditures (TP, CP and rebates) are within budget across all customers

  • Liaises between accounts and internal stakeholders in Finance and Supply Chain in addressing and resolving related matters

 

Strategic Business Building

  • Ensures sales activities are in compliance with all national, local and company regulations, policies and procedures

  • Responsible in driving MSL distribution through the right assortment mix vis-à-vis retailer clusters and branch sub-segmentation

  • Utilizes market trends and local insights in pushing forward MDP objectives and brand action towards competition; alongside coordination with Brand and Shopper Marketing teams

  • Conducts pre-business planning session to determine retail environment and customer needs, volume potential, risks and area economic potential

  • Prepares business plan for succeeding year

  • Conducts internal data analysis on channel and brand trends; drives action planning address trend gaps

  • Participates in Pre-QOP activities

  • Reviews and recommends improvement in LEPs that will capture maximum potential in terms of NPIs and merchandising campaigns

  • Liaises between team and Shopper and Brand Marketing in driving strategic collaboration that will advance both brand objectives and local demand/revenue generation

  • Drives collaboration with colleagues/fellow team members and head office stakeholders via special projects

  • Meets or exceeds targets (sell-in and sell-out, distribution and execution – NPIs and campaigns) through the implementation of sales and marketing activities within the expense budget

Customer Development

  • Establishes and maintains partnership with key customers and ensures appropriate account management, category leadership and execution excellence

  • Establishes and maintains contact with senior management level of key accounts

  • Prepares business reviews and ensures quarterly implementation

  • Responsible in ensuring account business plans through implementation of category day or joint business planning session happen a quarter prior to the start of new calendar year

  • Reviews and recommends improvement in trading term agreement – optimizing opportunities in-store (MSL, touchpoints, NPI, OSA, etc.)

  • Leverages market leadership, which is aided by adequate category story, in driving key category agenda

  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates

  • Champions 100% compliance in terms of MSL, OSA and execution (NPIs and merchandising campaigns)

  • Drive profitable and sustainable growth for the company and the account – with trade investment effectiveness of at least1.0

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial and Business Management, Marketing or Engineering or other related course. A plus if with prior 5 years work experience handling SM Markets (with the past 2-3 years in a people leader/manager role)
  • Manifesting strong leadership, reasoning ability and agility, and outstanding people management skills
  • With key experiences in strategy development, external relationships, negotiations, high visibility assignments and high pressure situations or projects
  • With strong problem solving and data analysis skills
  • 100% mobility as the role requires periodic travel as part of customer engagement and trade visits
