This position reports into a Senior Customer Development Manager within our Pharmacy Team and is based in Reading.

What You Will Do 

The Customer Development Manager will be responsible for building relationships with key decision makers for 3 Pharmacy Wholesaler accounts, conducting presentations to key customer executives and decision makers, preparing formal proposals and leading negotiations, and developing accurate sales forecasts and reports. You will also establish sales plans and specific project plans for these accounts as well as driving  customer business opportunities and finding ways to overcome threats.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of specified business targets (sales, spend and profit targets - INS, TCI, NTS, Net GP)

  • Full forecasting and spend management, making accurate forecasts to your business team and Commercial Excellence contacts

  • Progressing incremental growth opportunities with your customers

  • Responsible for building positive and collaborative relationships with your customer contacts, and representing your customers’ requirements to the Kenvue business

  • Building and supervising a Joint Business Plan to ensure delivery of key metrics for the Kenvue and business partner

  • Develop a solid understanding of the market and keep track of the market activity to share information regarding changes or new activity in the marketplace

  • Supports business improvement projects beyond immediate role responsibilities

  • Understands key competitor go-to-market strategies and incorporates this information into business plans to win in the market

  • Actively identifies potential execution issues and addresses these with the customers prior to activation

 

Business Effectiveness

  • Develops, prioritises and implements business strategies based on existing and emerging market conditions

  • Integrates knowledge of the business, market conditions and customer intelligence into business planning process to achieve mutually-profitable growth

  • Rigorously tracks and monitors key performance indicators and adjusts business plans accordingly

  • Actively incorporates relevant Healthcare Compliance Guidelines into business plans and tactics

Knowledge and skills required:

The successful individual will have excellent business partnering, analytical and communication skills. You will have experience within the FMCG environment and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in customer development, sales or account management

  • A proven track record of strong commercial performance from sales, profitability and share points of view

  • Can do attitude, proactive and solution orientated, ensuring we capitalize on growth opportunities

  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent numeracy and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

  • Ability to identify sales-driving opportunities and drive business effectiveness

  • Ability to engage your customers and collaborates with Kenvue experts to identify areas of opportunity and alignment to develop strategies that build joint business value

  • Adapt to evolving business conditions and see them as an opportunity to take calculated risks that enhance business outcomes

  • Ability to build and harvest great relationships both internally and externally to achieve strategic business objectives

  • High level of autonomy and enjoy networking to achieve results

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to write compelling, articulate business cases

  • Ability to shape plans and connect with the wider organisation

  • Deliver on key KPI commitments
