What you will do 

The Junior Scientist will be part of the research and development laboratory team focused on microbiology, conducting activities related to the validation of alternative microbiological methodologies for finished products and cosmetic raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in the microbiology laboratory routine related to the maintenance of microorganisms, promotion of growth, and qualification of biological indicators.
  • Preparation for sterilization of materials, culture media, and reagents.
  • Maintenance, qualification, and calibration of equipment.
  • Conduct activities related to the validation of alternative microbiological methodologies for finished products and raw materials.
  • Development, review, and execution of microbiological validation protocols.
  • Preparation and review of technical documentation and reports for microbiological validations. Structuring and managing quality records, such as investigations, CAPAs, and risk assessments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal organization and global teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with project members, adhering to priorities, checkpoints, and deadlines to support objectives.
  • Maintain a proactive mindset for identifying opportunities to improve our processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional groups and handle multiple responsibilities and projects

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Biomedicine, or related fields.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a microbiological development laboratory.
  • Experience in validation of testing methods according to pharmacopoeias/ISOs.
  • Advanced English.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's, Doctorate, or Postdoctoral degree in the field of Microbiology.
  • Intermediate Spanish.
  • Experience in alternative microbiological methodologies.
  • Experience in metagenomic analyses.
  • Power BI.
