Plant Planning Manager
This position reports into Senior Regional Supply Chain Manager and is based in Pomezia Santa Palomba (Rome).

What you will do
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and empower a team of Planners involved in all the local activites to support the plant.
- Ensure stock availability of the right products to the right locations at the right cost in the right time to achieve company’s service targets. The team owns execution of net requirements to the delivery of finished goods to Kenvue distribution centers in the local markets/clusters as well as in out of region markets.
- Support PLAN targets including but not limited to Service, Inventory and Agility.
- Responsible for all the activities related to the preparation of production schedules for manufacturing on finished goods and bulk level including short- and long-term capacity management.
- Support and implement production planning policies, standards, guidelines, technologies, and procedures to improve overall PLAN maturity.
- Responsible for the execution of Inventory strategy defined by the regional team being accountable for reaching targets, keeping the markets at the right inventory level and avoid/reduce SLOB.
- Identify potential supply constraints, works with stakeholders to mitigate/optimize the business risks, timely communicate, and provide information to stakeholders with appropriate scenario planning to enable the right decision making.
- Partner with in-market supply chain teams, proactively communicates risks and opportunities, gives visibility of short-mid-long term supply to markets.
- Collaborate with DELIVER team to make sure that the distribution plan is executed as per market requirements.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field with a strong analytical foundation.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in production planning, plant planning, manufacturing management, or production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex production schedules and multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven expertise in leveraging advanced planning systems (e.g., APS, ERP) to drive operational excellence.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, production planning software, and data analytics tools to support decision-making processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead innovative projects that streamline production workflows and reduce costs.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with a knack for anticipating challenges and crafting inventive solutions.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes that align with organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to convey strategic implications and operational impacts to senior leadership and key business partners.
- Commitment to maintaining credibility as a trusted advisor and knowledgeable leader across multiple business functions.
