Processing Operator I (12 Month Contract)
This position reports into the Processing Supervisor and is based at Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Role reports to: Processing Supervisor
Location: Guelph, Ontario, Canada

What you will do
Under minimal direction, the Processing Operator I executes manufacturing steps for bulk pharmaceutical products in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensures accurate documentation throughout the process.
This role will likely cover 3 full working days weekly (weekend, and one day during the week from 6 AM to 6 PM - 34.5 hours weekly).
Key Responsibilities
Operate manufacturing processes related to Weigh & Dispense, Granulation, Compression, Finishing (Coating & Printing), and Liquids.
Execute all manufacturing steps including cleaning/sanitation and equipment setup.
Process raw materials according to batch records, SOPs, and cleaning records.
Monitor and record all processing parameters and maintain accurate documentation.
Complete SAP/MES transactions, ensuring timely and complete data entry for downtime events.
Maintain updated training records and adhere to training deadlines.
Ensure a safe working environment by reporting hazards and completing safety training.
Promote quality and compliance by identifying quality issues, attending GMP training, and adhering to procedures.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
High school diploma (Grade 12).
Understanding of GMP compliance.
Mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and SAP.
Desired Qualifications
Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, biology, biochemistry).
2–3 years of experience in a regulated food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Experience in solid dose manufacturing in OTC or pharmaceutical facilities.
Previous mechanical experience or training.
