HybridWhat you will do
The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for providing leadership on demand and supply planning processes, developing solutions to complex problems, and building effective relationships with key suppliers and internal/external client groups:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demands
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and identify potential risks and opportunities
- Analyze historical data and market trends to make informed decisions on inventory management
- Lead and mentor a team of demand planners to ensure accuracy and efficiency in forecasting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency
- Lead the development and execution of demand and supply planning strategies to ensure cost-effective stock availability
- Implement and maintain planning processes and systems in compliance with corporate policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and drive solutions
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and internal/external client groups
- Facilitate communication on business implications of planning decisions
- Coordinate timely forecasting communications and align goals across departments
- Provide strategic leadership to improve process efficiencies and enhance customer service levels
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning or related field
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex business data
- Proven track record of successfully implementing demand planning strategies and improving forecasting accuracy
- Experience working in a matrix environment
- Native level of Japanese and fluency in English
Desired Qualifications
- People management experience is preferred, but not required
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects/initiatives
- Proficiency in syndicated data analysis
- Effective conflict management and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead a team of demand planners
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite, sales database, and web applications
