What you will do

As Director of Customer Development for the Walmart business, you will lead strategic customer engagement, drive joint business planning, and oversee execution across Kenvue’s portfolio. You’ll be responsible for delivering sustainable growth, optimizing trade investments, and building high-impact relationships with Walmart leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute customer-centric strategies aligned with Kenvue’s brand and commercial goals.

  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with Walmart to drive mutual growth and innovation.

Team Management & Collaboration:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing customer development team.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Category Management.

Customer Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart’s Merchants and senior stakeholders.

  • Build trusted relationships to influence category growth and strategic initiatives.

Commercial Execution:

  • Oversee execution of the 4Ps (Product, Placement, Pricing, Promotion) across Walmart channels.

  • Ensure flawless new item launches, promotional planning, and in-store execution.

Analytics & Forecasting:

  • Drive forecast accuracy and consumption growth through data-driven insights.

  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust plans to meet shipment and share goals.

Budget & Trade Management:

  • Manage trade spend and promotional ROI across categories.

  • Ensure compliance with financial targets and investment guidelines.

What are we looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in CPG sales or customer development, with 5+ years in leadership roles.

  • Deep understanding of Walmart’s retail ecosystem and decision-making processes.

  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and delivering commercial results.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Experience with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen) and Walmart Retail Link.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$183,175.00 - $258,600.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
