What you will do

The Director of Operations Business Architecture is a vital team member responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the business architecture framework that aligns various functional strategies with the organization's goals via a cohesive roadmap to improve operational efficiency across processes, data, technology, and digital domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy the business architecture framework that aligns functions’ and value streams’ capability roadmaps with the  organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate the development of cross-functional value stream architectures, associated capability blueprints and roadmaps.
  • Contribute to the organization-wide blueprint and roadmap and prioritization.
  • Deploy architecture standards with functions and embed into project teams, including transformation programs, providing coaching and deliverable support.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in business architecture.
  • Collaborate with Process Owners, Tech & Data Enterprise Architecture, and Product owners and DTO Data Architects to ensure alignment between business capability, digital and technology solution/product and information/data and roadmaps.
  • Report on the performance of business architecture initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to meet changing business demands.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of business architecture projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is highly desirable.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or related fields, with a focus on strategic alignment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and providing advice and guidance to functional leadership.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML), and information modeling, including ability to coach junior and/or federated architects.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more supply chain functions (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Quality) or value streams (Plan to Produce, Make to Release, Order to Cash, Source to Pay)
  • Demonstrated ability to guide a team through the development of a project concept from ideation, through business case, to launch.
  • Prior experience leading complex projects and initiatives in a dynamic environment, with preference for experience in digital transformation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, including matrix and/or leadership of peers via influence.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certification in enterprise architecture and/or business process management.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices, including Agile project management tools.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation strategies and how emerging technologies are shaping transformation.
  • Familiarity with change management and organizational development initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Active participation and thought leadership in professional architecture communities or organizations.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$183,175.00 - $258,600.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
