What you will do

The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and routing outbound shipments, analyzing transportation opportunities to improve service, and ensuring timely order release and delivery. You will coordinate with carriers control towers and internal teams to monitor shipments.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, Warehouse, Production, and Customer teams to secure effective distribution workflows and align shipment processes.
• Plan and schedule domestic and international outbound freight shipments to ensure timeliness and compliance with customer shipping standards.
• Expand monthly and weekly production requirements into daily schedules, allocating SKUs to shop floor work centers to optimize outbound flow and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain accurate production and transportation schedules, proactively communicating issues, delays, deviations, or capacity constraints to internal and external stakeholders.
• Allocate net production requirements to dedicated transport lanes while balancing customer demands and production needs.
• Ensure warehouse and forwarder capacity aligns with planned schedule timelines.
• Provide recommendations to Operations regarding resource adjustments, overtime, or subcontracting to balance overall capacity.
• Organize and coordinate with stakeholders to validate schedules and support service level objectives.
• Share timely updates with the MPS Planner regarding capacity and manpower-related constraints and resolutions.
• Define optimal scheduling sequences in alignment with Plant operations.
• Work with dedicated forwarders to develop and implement solutions that improve performance and service levels.
• Provide alternative scheduling scenarios to support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) decision-making.
• Analyze distribution, transportation, and inventory data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend actionable process enhancements.
• Resolve customer delivery-related complaints and maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supported processes.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or Logistics.
• 1-3 years of related experience in transportation, logistics, distribution analysis, or logistics coordination.
• Fundamental functional skills in distribution analysis, logistics coordination.
• Basic proficiency in data analytics tools and computer skills including MS Office.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working within global or regional matrix organizations with cross-functional collaboration.
• Expertise in transportation and warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in optimization methodologies such as Lean.
• Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships internally and externally.
• Understanding end-to-end supply chain processes with a customer-centric approach.
• Creative mindset to develop solutions for distribution challenges.
