This role acts as the commercial performance engine for eCommerce—connecting financials, execution and digital shelf excellence to drive sustained growth with customers.
Reporting line: eCommerce Director, Northern Europe
Scope: Pureplay (Amazon, The Hut Group, Ocado), Omnichannel (Tesco.com, Boots.com etc.) with input into EMEA‑level reporting and initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
1. Performance & KPI Ownership
- Own the Northern Europe eCommerce performance framework, defining a clear set of financial, executional and digital shelf KPIs across NTS, eNTS%, GP, EPOS, Market Share and Digital Shelf scores.
- Track performance against NE eCommerce OKRs, highlighting risks, opportunities and corrective actions with pace and clarity.
- Establish robust performance review cadence (e.g MBR), ensuring insights translate into clear actions and follow‑up.
- Track and analyse omnichannel customer P&L, enabling data‑driven prioritisation of investments and resources.
2. Commercial & Category Insights
- Lead continuous analysis of eCommerce campaigns and activations, including ROI measurement and retail media benchmarking, to inform future investment decisions.
- Act as the commercial insights lead for Amazon AVN, shaping 1–3 year business plan building blocks and in‑year course correction.
- Partner with Publicis and internal Retail Excellence teams to deliver actionable insights that support JBPs, AVNs and customer negotiations.
- Lead analysis of portfolio optimisation (PMPI, Spike, bundles, NPD and new portfolio initiatives) to support RGM strategy and margin delivery.
- Identify category growth opportunities through customer journey improvements, search, taxonomy and branded execution.
- Proactively share insights with EMEA and support regional initiatives that drive commercial excellence.
3. Digital Shelf & On‑Site Excellence
- Own performance analysis and reporting of the digital shelf using NIQ and other tools, delivering proactive and actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Define data‑led prioritisation frameworks for digital shelf improvements in line with commercial and customer priorities.
- Set performance direction for Digital Shelf strategy across Core and Spike brands/SKUs, underpinned by clear data rationale.
- Lead onsite performance audits across key levers (search, taxonomy, content, A+ usage).
- Act as the data‑level owner for digital shelf suppliers, ensuring data accuracy, benchmarking consistency and scoring robustness.
- Lead local set‑up and integration of new digital shelf suppliers.
4. Data, Tools & Capability Building
- Develop and maintain a robust single source of truth for eCommerce performance, including automated EPOS and NTS reporting.
- Track and analyse performance across customers and channels, ensuring clarity, consistency and transparency of data.
- Build tools, dashboards and visualisations that translate complexity into clear commercial insight.
- Empower stakeholders to self‑serve standard data through training, guidance and clear governance of dashboards and tools.
- Champion a data‑driven, test‑and‑learn mindset, embedding analytical thinking into everyday commercial decisions.
5. Category & CBI Collaboration
- Own identification of market share trends (growth and decline), diagnosing root causes and recommended corrective actions.
- Identify must‑win opportunity areas and support CDMs in the development of BIC strategy.
- Lead compelling eCommerce data storytelling for Commercial Directors, Media and Brand teams to support investment cases and decision making.
- Work closely with CBI and Category teams to align insights and strengthen cross‑functional impact.

Qualifications & Experience
