What you will do
The Artwork Innovation Specialist will serve as the innovation engine for next-generation Labeling & Artwork (L&A) within Kenvue’s global R&D operations. Learning from academia and industry, identifying emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies, driving experimentation and pilot programs and building future-ready capabilities to create competitive advantage in the CPG space.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously scan external ecosystem (academia, startups, suppliers, industry consortia) for emerging trends in Next-generation graphic design (AI-assisted design, generative layouts), Smart packaging & digital labeling (QR/NFC/connected packaging), Advanced printing technologies (digital print, sustainable inks, variable data printing) and Automation in Labeling compliance, artwork creation and approval
- Translate trends into practical, scalable business opportunities in product innovation
- Design and lead controlled pilots / proof-of-concepts (POCs)
- Support artwork operations leaders with innovative strategies to streamline and optimize artwork processes
- Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices. Communicate changes effectively across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance artwork operations
- Evaluate and implement new methodologies to optimize efficiency
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- University/ Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications are preferred, not mandatory.
- 2-5 years of experience in Labeling, packaging, design, or adjacent innovation roles
- Track record of academic and industry knowledge in Printing technologies, pre-press processes
- Technical curiosity (design systems, printing tech, AI/digital tools) and Innovation mindset with ability to translate research into execution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
