What you will do

Dr. Ci: Labo is a premium Japanese skincare brand with demonstrated success in Asia, that will soon be launching in the U.S. The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of all marketing strategies and business plans for the U.S. This exciting role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the U.S. Business Plan to outline strategic objectives, key initiatives, and financial targets.
  • Lead U.S. channel strategy, driving growth with key customers and evaluating new channels.
  • Develop and execute the U.S. marketing strategy, inclusive of brand positioning, new product launches, media activation and planning, public relations, omnichannel retailer integrations, and social & influencer activations.
  • Continuously assess consumer, customer, and market insights to uncover business drivers and generate strategic & tactical recommendations for growth.
  • Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to meet shipment and financial targets.
  • Partner closely with Finance to build financial projections for the U.S. operating plan, business plan, and ongoing financial updates.
  • Lead budgeting and implementation of brand marketing investment, ensuring delivery of key brand growth and financial commitments.
  • Partner with cross-functional team members to shape and grow brand equity and innovation to drive U.S. growth.
  • Partner with the media team to enhance business results and optimize advertising performance.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that values integrity, creativity, teamwork, and excellence within the marketing organization.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • A BA/BS in Marketing or a business-related field is required. An MBA is preferred. 
  • A minimum of 6 years of marketing or related CPG commercial experience.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills: the ability to zoom out and set big-picture strategy while zooming in to ensure exceptional execution.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to form productive stakeholder relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented. Creative problem-solver not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing complexity.
  • Prior P&L/financial management and business/strategic planning experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a start-up environment is preferred.
  • Experience working within the Beauty / Skincare category is desired.
  • Experience with new brand market entry is preferred. 

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$124,100.00 - $175,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
