Role reports to: Senior Manager – EMEA Logistics Procurement

Location: Prague, Czeck Republic

Travel %: up to 15%

What you will do

The Buyer Logistics Procurement Warehousing & Transportation is responsible for supporting the EMEA Logistics Procurement team in managing the execution of  the Global category strategies for the spend of Consumer Health.  This individual will monitor, analyze and report on the organization’s activities and ability to deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, service and compliance adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Procurement and Deliver leadership in developing and implementing innovative procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency in logistics operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of warehousing and transportation services
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions for the organization
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and drive operational excellence
  • Provide leadership and oversight to less experienced staff to ensure local purchasing needs are met
  • Analyze market trends and availability of designated procurement commodities to make informed decisions
  • Autonomously lead mid complexity negotiation and assist Procurement Leadership in complex negotiation
  • Deliver on financial, service, sustainability, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments
  • Collaborate with other operation groups to identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost reduction
  • Participate in Global spending and category teams to drive strategic procurement initiatives
  • Oversee and lead transportation/logistics functions to ensure efficient supply chain operations
  • Support implementation of supplier quality management programs to enhance supplier relationships and ensure product quality
  • Promote the use of process excellence to drive continuous improvement in procurement practices

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully managing procurement activities and supplier relationships
  • Outstanding analytical, decision making & problem solving skill (Autonomous in the preparation of analytics & business cases)
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple teams and levels across the Organization
  • Demonstrated value based behavior

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong influencer, independent thinker, and strong planning/prioritization skills
  • Broad experience across procurement, distribution operations, trade and logistics
  • Strong analytical background with the ability to interpret and communicate complex business data
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects/initiatives
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage conflict effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Experience in running category buying teams and negotiating successfully
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
