The Global Segment Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing priority innovation and renovation projects in direct support of Kenvue’s and assigned segment’s strategic plan, objectives and key results (OKRs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Concurrently manage multiple global product innovation and renovation projects from definition through launch and execution following Kenvue’s Operating model, project management and innovation playbooks, standards, and tools
- In service of assigned Brand Development Team(s) (BDT), provide overall project management to a global cross-functional team including R&D, Marketing, Packaging, Operations, Finance, Regional PM, and others to deliver on project goals. Support team members by resolving execution barriers, raising issues as appropriate and engaging ultimate decision makers as quickly as possible when projects deviate from plan
- Own the overall integrated project execution plan including inputs to scope, business case, schedule and launch timing. Oversee and drive team activities to deliver project objectives in a compliant and reliable manner
- Conduct planning sessions, coordinate team meetings and minutes; understand and track critical milestones; establish contingency and acceleration plans; facilitate team decisions and issue resolution; establish and implement risk management plan
- Use strong business knowledge, technical skills, and sound judgment to effectively assess risk, develop contingency and mitigation plans, and elevate issues. Lead preparation and delivery of project updates, stage-gate reviews, and recommendations at governance forum. Act as an independent advisor at the forum, making appropriate go/no-go recommendations and communicating openly and effectively about risks and issues
- Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned segment/brand/need state’s strategy, business goals, associated technologies, and supply chain to support sound decision making from chartering through design and development to launch, resulting in market successful products and reliable, cost-effective supply chain(s)
- Utilize project metrics and lessons learned to improve business results, processes and tools and build project management capability through coaching and supporting other PMs and participating in community of practices
- Maintain accurate information and data supporting project and portfolio tracking and reporting to ensure appropriate visibility at all organizational levels. As required, support Operations BDT Leads and Project Management BDT one point-of-contacts with project update or other ad hoc data requests
- Role may have additional responsibility of being a Project Management point-of-contact for a Brand Development team (BDT), providing project management input during project ideation and feasibility, and acting as a liaison between the Brand Development Team(s) and broader global and regional project management community as required
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 8 years of business/work experience
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years of proven success in management of new product commercialization or renovation projects from ideation through to benefit realization
You can successfully interact across all levels of the organization, leading discussions and holding teams accountable without line authority, creating alignment across cross-functional partners (Commercial, R&D, Operations, Regional PM and others) as needed
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, verbally, in writing and through presentations, reports and dashboards, with ability to distill complex issues and risks into succinct comprehensible analysis and open and transparent recommendations for senior leaders (up to VP)
Strong business and financial competence, with an understanding of financial principles and project evaluation methods, and how to use this knowledge to make recommendations to achieve business goals
You are an inclusive team leader, with proven track record of inspiring and delivering results through others with trust and empowerment, constructively challenging cross-functional partners enhance collective success
You thrive with ambiguity and can act as a change agent, adapting quickly to changing business dynamics, solving with courage to shape and build new ways of working
The candidate will have a proven track record of meeting project objectives in fast-paced environments by successfully managing, tracking, and implementing successful strategies in regards to scope, quality, time and cost
Must be able to work independently and without direct line management authority over team members
Must be accountable, work well under pressure and have strong time management and prioritization skills
Must be comfortable challenging status quo and looking for ways to improve ways of working processes
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree, MBA or other advanced degree
PMP certification and/or other industry and project management certification
Experience working in consumer goods industry.
Experience in a GMP or regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC)
Experience in process excellence/Six Sigma methodologies
