The ideal candidate will drive technical strategy, lead workflow engineering initiatives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality analytics solutions that emphasize performance, governance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Engineering (KNIME or Alteryx)

  • Design, build, and optimize complex KNIME or Alteryx workflows for data ingestion, transformation, enrichment, and automation.
  • Develop reusable components, macros, and workflow standards to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues, enhance performance, and implement automated scheduling and monitoring.

Business Intelligence Platform Engineering

  • Architect and manage enterprise‑scale Power BI and Tableau environments.
  • Build semantic models, certified datasets, and optimized data sources to support analytics teams.
  • Support dashboard developers by providing datasets, performance tuning, and best practices.
  • Maintain platform security, governance, version control, and deployment processes.

Platform Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive platform best practices.
  • Partner with product owners, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
  • Define and enforce governance, data quality standards, and access controls across analytics platforms.

Integrations & Automation

  • Integrate KNIME/Alteryx workflows with databases, APIs, cloud services, and BI tools.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, workflow versioning, automation, and operational resilience.
  • Improve system observability with monitoring tools, alerts, and platform diagnostics.
  • Contribute to platform evolution with enhancements that support AI/ML capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with KNIME or Alteryx workflow development.
  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI and/or Tableau in an enterprise setting.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and analytics lifecycle management.

Required Skills

  • Advanced expertise in KNIME or Alteryx, including workflow design, debugging, macros, and optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI or Tableau, including semantic modeling and enterprise governance.
  • Excellent SQL and scripting skills (Python preferred).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Git-based version control.
  • Deep understanding of data security, RBAC, audit, and compliance processes.
  • Meticulous documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience integrating ML models into KNIME/Alteryx workflows.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, or other modern data transformation tools.
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) or IaC (Terraform).
  • Professional certifications in KNIME, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or cloud technologies.
