What you will do

As a Nordic Head of Retail Excellence, you will be responsible for the category strategy, portfolio strategy, execution and performance monitoring of execution across all channels in the Nordic markets. The role bridges strategy and operations, ensuring retail concepts, processes and KPIs are effectively implemented to maximize customer experience, sales performance and operational efficiency.

You will manage a team, including the RGM Manger, Category Retail Excellence Managers, Sales Op & Data Analytics and Business Execution Lead ensuring consistent retail standards, improve store efficiency, flawless execution and customer collaboration that drives growth across all channels.

You will also own the category development agenda, shaping Category Growth Strategies, creating the excellent execution blueprint and embedding an RGM mindset across the business to deliver sustainable growth for Kenvue and our retail partners.  By combing retail execution and category insights, you will influence customer partnerships and ensure our brands win disproportionately in-store and online.

Key Responsibilities

  • With an entrepreneurial mindset, lead and inspire to deliver best-in-class in-store execution and category leadership across the Nordic markets.

  • Deliver strategic leadership and define and implement the Retail Excellence roadmap and category visioning for the Nordic countries.

  • Develop clear category plans adapted to each channel with a clear view on the picture of success including key aspects such as assortment and pricing.

  • Align retail strategies with regional and global objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance store performance and profitability.

  • Use data analytics to forecast trends and inform strategic decisions and provide regular performance reports and insights to senior leadership in a consistent and coherent way.

  • Lead and inspire the Retail Excellence to deliver a clear picture of success and category leadership across the Nordic markets for all channels.

  • Drive retail excellence and embed consistent KPI frameworks for retail visibility, distribution, availability, and activation compliance across Nordic markets, underpinned by Science of Brand Growth principles.

  • Develop and evolve Category Growth Strategies frameworks, ensuring shopper-centric planning and alignment with commercial objectives.

  • Act as a thought leader with key retailers, delivering category recommendations and guiding range reviews to optimize shelf presence and Perfect Store metrics.

  • Partner with the Country Manager, Brand Activation and Sales teams to translate category strategies into effective commercial execution plans to maximize trade investment ROI.

  • Ensure proactive management of category performance, highlighting progress, risk and opportunities. 

  • Lead the RGM team for delivering sustainable top and bottom-line growth by developing GP enhancing plans across price, mix, and trade spend management.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration across the Retail Excellence organization.

  • Leading the business execution team ensuring consistent and flawless support for key capabilities across all Nordic countries.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in retail or commercial excellence and category development within FMCG or consumer health.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience collaborating with multi-country teams and delivering growth through retail and category strategies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in retail management systems and data analytics tools.

  • Proven track record of delivering in-store performance improvements, range review, category strategy implementation through data and insight.

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills across functions and markets.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in a Nordic language is an advantage.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in a matrixed, regional FMCG environment.

  • Expertise in trade marketing with a strong track record of delivering range reviews, category strategy implementation, and pricing/ mix optimization.

  • Data-driven mindset with knowledge of retail tracking tools and performance dashboards.

  • Experience from working with RGM

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
