Production Scheduler Planner

This position reports to the Supply Planning Manager and is based at Helsingborg, Sweden.

What you will do 

The Production Scheduler Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining efficient production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing production costs.

This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, engineering, and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments, a solid understanding of supply chain processes, and proficiency with scheduling software and ERP systems.

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to maintain optimal production flow, meet customer delivery deadlines, and contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure schedule feasibility.
  • Monitor progress of production activities and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes.
  • Analyze capacity and resource requirements to optimize utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks in the production process.
  • Ensure schedules align with quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and resource utilization.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes.
  • Support new product launches and engineering changes by integrating them into the production schedule.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Full professional fluency in both Swedish and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in production scheduling or manufacturing planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
