What will you

The Quality Laboratories of the Future Business Product Owner (BPO) is the key global contact for the Global Quality Laboratories of the Future Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) project(s). The BPO is a a strategic leader who can effectively bridge the gap between business and technology in the context of laboratory information management. The leader will shape the product vision and roadmap and is responsible to serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the development of LIMS enhancements, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. In addition, this role will contribute to optimization of laboratory processes, enhance data management capabilities, and improve overall operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry regulations:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the LIMS Quality Laboratories of the Future, aligning with business goals and site needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders in site Quality laboratories, IT, quality assurance, and compliance team(s), to gather requirements and define product specifications
  • Drive key decisions for product design and define and author the business requirements
  • Responsible for simulation and UAT testing that has been defined
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that features and enhancements meet user needs and deliver maximum business value
  • Lead the development lifecycle of LIMS projects, from concept through implementation and ongoing support, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, gather user feedback, and inform product decisions
  • Facilitate workshop demos, and brainstorming sessions to drive innovation and gather input from various stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to LIMS operations, providing regular updates to senior leadership on project status and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data integrity and quality management protocols
  • Develop user training and documentation to ensure successful adoption of LIMS functionalities among laboratory staff
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration


What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management or product ownership, with a focus on laboratory systems or related technology
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, data management practices, and regulatory compliance within laboratory environments
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex software development projects, ideally within an Agile framework
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in Lab Systems development, qualification, and deployment (Empower, LIMS, others)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with regional/local/cross-functional partners
  • Experience in leadership and managerial positions that involve team management and process improvement
  • Compliance mindset to ensure systems are correctly executed at Kenvue
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement improvements
  • In-depth knowledge of partner departments (such as manufacturing and quality assurance) and their interdependencies to ensure aligned and effective processes across the organization
  • Fluency in English

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Master’s in Business Administration, Life Sciences)
  • Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner)
  • Familiarity with Quality Control Laboratories and their operations
  • Familiarity with LIMS software vendors, tools, and industry best practices
  • Experience with change management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Project Management skills to manage extensive plans and timelines
  • Ability to manage change effectively and lead teams through transitions in processes or systems
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences when implementing global processes across various regions

$183,175.00 - $258,600.00
