What you will do
The Scientist R&D is responsible for the execution and implementation of innovation projects to support Regional product pipeline for Oral care, combining requirements on product performance & quality, together with strong consumer insight. This will mean you working with our scientists, packaging, analytical teams, quality & process development teams, so you need to be a strong communicator and ensure our innovations deliver On-Time-in-Full.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs and executes new product development under supervision, translating business needs into concrete R&D deliverables, according to the agreed brief and consumer needs, attending claim requirements, cost targets within budget and timeline.
- Plan and execute project implementation activities. Establish partnership with internal and external manufacturing sites to support the implementation of new products.
- Contribute on low and medium complexity learning plans to ensure R&D deliverables for a project are mapped out and met.
- Planning, executing and reporting laboratory trials under suppervision – managing ingredients and formulation documentation to high standards in Kenvue systems.
- Understanding impact of ingredients & formula design on product performance (e.g. stability) and experience (e.g. sensorial).
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis under supervision to address problems that may occur at any stage of the development process, from lab scale, through pilot plant and to production scale.
- Contributes to a team environment of innovation, design thinking and collaboration, reinforcing the culture of constant consumer learning, science development and competitor assessment practices.
- Ensures compliance with Quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedicine or related areas.
- Advanced English is required.
- Experience in product development or related areas will be considered a differential;
- Good communication, collaboration & organization skills;
- Teamwork; Ability to work in a multi-functional team; sense of urgency
