The Senior Category Insights Analyst is responsible for supporting the Senior Category Insights Manger with unbiased strategic and tactical insights and recommendations to assist the Walmart Merchants with Online and In-Store, Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Promotional opportunities to improve and drive category performance.
The Category Management Team plays a vital role within the Kenvue-Walmart partnership, acting as a key advisor to Walmart. As a Senior Category Insights Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Category Insights Manager to develop and refine category growth strategies informed by critical data, shopper insights, and emerging trends. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excel in collaboration, demonstrate effective project leadership, and exhibit thought leadership. This role requires expertise in category management, where you will partner with the Manager to conduct assortment evaluations and optimize business processes, leveraging essential shopper and category systems such as POS, Syndicated Data, and JDA Space Planning Software. The candidate must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and complex business environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding support to Walmart Merchandising during modular relay process and provide insightful weekly reporting to the customer
Provide unbiased strategic and tactical insights and recommendations to Walmart Merchant on Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, Pricing, & Promotional opportunities to improve category performance instore and online.
Uncover business opportunities with analytics using a category toolkit including, but not limited to: POS/ Retail Link, Syndicated Data, Marketplace & HH Panel Assessments, Scintilla and Ad/Promotion Review
Work with internal Shopper/Category partners on research opportunities: provide voice-of-customer, facilitate research projects, and activate findings to be customer-specific
Influence and execute the modular activation of merchandising improvements, efficient assortment, and clustering solutions
Develop and share best-practices to enhance the entire category management team
What we are Looking for
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
Minimum of (2) years in CPG industry – customer analytics, customer insights, category management and/or shopper insights for consumer or relevant business experience
Deep analytical expertise and experience working with Scintilla, syndicated data, panel data, shopper-card data, and other research
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
Ability to develop and oversee the execution of project plans and to implement, execute and draw conclusions from a variety of customer, shopper and category studies is required Experience with space planning software
Strong presentation skills and ability to tailor skills and presentation style to a variety of key decision makers
Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex information across multiple levels
This position will be located in Rogers, Arkansas and will require up to 15% domestic travel
Desired Qualifications
Deep analytical expertise and experience working with JDA Pro Space
Fluent in interpreting shopper and category insights research and a strong understanding of syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen) and panel data (e.g. Numerator)
Knowledge of computer technology, analytical software programs (PowerBI, Numerator, Alteryx) MS Office Suite and database management, including development of queries and assessment of data to draw accurate conclusions
Ability to develop and manage project plans and to implement, execute and draw conclusions from a variety of customer, category and shopper studies
Working experience with Walmart is preferred
