The Territory Manager - Pharmacy is responsible for the management of a defined territory and the achievement of the agreed sales/ ranging/ POS/ shelf and training targets. In doing, the Territory Manager will contribute to the achievement of the organization's sales, profit and market share results.
Key Responsibilities
SALES - Achieves sales/ ranging/ POS/ shelf and training targets by Pharmacy account on a designated territory.
- Develops and implements territory plan to ensure pre-determined objectives are achieved to achieve specific store/ territory sales and cycle targets.
- Ensures that designated products are ranged and sold in line with ranging targets specified for all accounts on his/her territory (Must Stock List).
- Implements designated POS items that are negotiated in line with cycle objectives and are executed within store for all accounts on his/her territory.
- Ensures company agreed shelf requirements are negotiated in line with cycle objectives and are executed within store for all pharmacies on his/her territory.
- Negotiates in-store trainings in line with cycle objectives and are executed within store for all personnel on his/her territory.
- Monitors sales performance, recommends and implements initiatives to enhance sales and capitalize on business opportunities.
TERRITORY MANAGEMENT - Ensures designated territory is efficiently managed. Completes all administrative reports in a timely and efficient manner.
- Completes cycle planning and implements these plans to ensure effective territory management as per set cycle targets.
- Ensures resources, such as point of sale material and trade spend, are deployed to best service his/her territory to maximize sales and distribution.
- Ensures territory management practices are structured to meet sales and marketing objectives
- Update CRM after each call, and ensure customer profiling info is accurate, to ensure effective planning and organising.
- Completes expense reports in an efficient and timely manner to ensure timely processing of reports by accounts department.
- Is capable of using all entry components of “Perenso” also completing Diary and time management recording accurately.
Build and maintain strong strategic customer relationships to accelerate both current and future growth opportunities.
- Use facts, data and insights as part of persuasion cycle to negotiate with customer.
- Regularly conducts business reviews with key accounts to build relations.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Territory sales experience within the Pharmacy Channel preferred
- Must hold a valid current drivers’ license with proven safe driving record
- Professional presentation, demonstrates integrity and high personal standards
- Must possess strong listening and written/verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, robust priority planning and effective time management skills
- Good analytical skills and sound business acumen
- Competitive, hardworking, hands-on approach
- Must possess the ability to develop, document & effectively communicate a strong action plan
