Corporate Affairs Nordics, Senior Manager

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Position Description: The Senior Manager Corporate Affairs Nordics will be responsible for the development of communications and government affairs plans across the Nordics markets – Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway. This role reports to the Government Affairs Director for Northern Europe with a dotted line to the Communications & Public Affairs Director for Northern Europe.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Communications & Public Affairs Director and Government Affairs Director to create and manage effective corporate affairs plans that accelerate business growth and ensure access to our health products and solutions.
  • In partnership with the Communications & Public Affairs Director, manage the external communications and engagement strategy, identifying opportunities to support key brands and increase Kenvue’s profile with stakeholders across priority markets.
  • Provide strategic counsel to marketing teams on communications opportunities to amplify the brands in addition to any issues with potential to negatively impact the reputation of our brands.
  • Partner with the Communications & Public Affairs Director on the development and implementation of internal communications plans for Northern Europe including the Nordics ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and equipped to execute business strategy.
  • Represent Kenvue in relevant Trade Associations partnering with the Government Affairs Brussels team, Regulatory Affairs, and internal stakeholders to shape our environment.
  • Partner with business leaders in key markets to identify priority public policy, government affairs, and public health/consumer access opportunities to maximize value to the business. Identify opportunities to shape corporate affairs initiatives that advance business strategy, address issues, strengthen alignment and convey Kenvue`s vision and priorities.
  • Cultivate and nurture building a strong network of key external stakeholders who can support strategic policy objectives.
  • Identify, manage and support issues.
  • Manage and build relationships with key local media.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with internal and external policies, laws, and requirements.

Position Requirements:

  • Successful candidate will possess at least 10 years of experience in Communications and Government Affairs in the Nordics. Specific experience in Sweden and Finland is an advantage.
  • Political, legislative, and/or public sector experience, combined with meaningful tenure in a large multinational corporation.
  • Solid understanding of the external environment and political decision-making process. Skilled judgement on positioning and tone of sensitive and complex issues is essential.
  • Demonstrated track record of working with and earning the trust and confidence of corporate leaders or governmental or social leaders and serving as a trusted partner/advisor.
  • Demonstrate communication and collaboration skills with an ability to manage and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and embrace change in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
  • A collaborative style: interactive with the courage and conviction to challenge and defend ideas and strategies; ability to offer creative pathways or alternative solutions both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work 1) under pressure, 2) both independently and in a team environment, and 3) with all levels of the organization as well as government officials.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze policy issues and environment, and to communicate policy research and analysis findings to a variety of non-expert audiences both written and orally.
  • Experience in creating and managing complex projects.
  • Superior oral and written communications skills in English, Swedish and ideally at least one other Nordic language.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the Consumer Health business and the ability to translate business needs into strategic public affairs plans that advance the business unit and Company goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and work with other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and drive positive business impact.
