What you will do

The Junior Category Management Manager is responsible for supervising staff by assigning territories, educating on promotions and products, monitoring daily activities, and collaborating with retail partners on special promotions. You will analyze inventory reports, participate in planning, and gather feedback to optimize team performance:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and execution of category management initiatives to optimize product assortment and drive revenue growth.

• Supervise and coordinate cross-functional teams, assigning territories and customer accounts to optimize coverage, performance, and alignment with organizational goals.

• Innovate pricing and promotional strategies by leveraging advanced analytics and consumer insights to maximize profitability, collaborating closely with retail partners and suppliers to develop and implement sales-driving promotions.

• Analyze inventory, sales data, and daily activity reports to support department planning, promotional activities, and maintain operational efficiency.

• Participate actively in strategic planning sessions, providing insights on territory management, resource allocation, and category expansion.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to foster partnerships that support category growth and sustainability goals.

• Gather and evaluate feedback from retail stores and sales staff to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of emerging technologies and market trends to maintain competitive advantage.

• Mentor and train team members, cultivating a culture of creativity, strategic thinking, and effective sales strategies while ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering a positive work environment.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.

• Solid experience in category management, retail supervision, or related fields.

• Proven leadership skills with experience supervising and developing diverse teams.

• Strong analytical abilities to interpret inventory reports and sales data for strategic decision-making.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train staff and collaborate with retail partners.

• Ability to manage multiple product lines and adapt to dynamic retail environments.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to monitor workloads and activity reports.

Desired Qualifications

• Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools and the ability to translate complex data into actionable category strategies.

• Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and driving collaborative projects across departments.

• Strong commercial acumen combined with creative thinking to identify unique market opportunities and optimize category performance.
