Location: This position is based in Summit, NJ. Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.

The Head of Professional Affairs - Skin Health serves as the strategic leader for healthcare professional engagement across Kenvue's Skin Health portfolio, including Neutrogena®, Aveeno®, Band-Aid®, and Rogaine®. This role is responsible for building trusted relationships and strategic partnerships across the dermatology ecosystem to advance scientific education, strengthen brand credibility, drive public health impact, and accelerate business growth.

This role will serve as the primary connector between Kenvue and the broader healthcare ecosystem, cultivating influential networks of dermatologists, advanced practice providers, professional societies, researchers, educators, public health leaders, and advocacy organizations. The role will identify emerging opportunities and risks, inform portfolio strategy through external insights, and help mobilize science through peer-to-peer education and healthcare professional engagement.

Success in this role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, scientific credibility, ecosystem leadership, partnership development, and cross-functional influence.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Ecosystem Leadership & Partnership Strategy

  • Develop and lead the Professional Affairs strategy for the Skin Health portfolio aligned with enterprise, scientific, and business priorities.

  • Build and steward high-value relationships with dermatologists, pediatric dermatologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, wound care experts, trichologists, researchers, and professional society leaders.

  • Establish Kenvue as a trusted scientific and professional partner within the skincare ecosystem.

  • Lead ecosystem mapping efforts to identify key influencers, emerging leaders, digital educators, advocacy organizations, academic centers, and professional societies.

  • Develop long-term stakeholder engagement plans that strengthen credibility, advocacy, scientific influence, and educational reach.

Scientific Education & Thought Leadership Activation

  • Identify opportunities to advance scientific understanding and professional education across key skin health categories including:Eczema and atopic dermatitis Sun protection and skin cancer prevention Sensitive skin Wound care and skin repair Hair and scalp health Pediatric skin health

  • Build and oversee scientific education councils, expert networks, and advisory groups.

  • Partner with Medical Affairs to translate emerging science into meaningful educational initiatives that reach healthcare professionals and consumers.

  • Guide development of educational platforms, congress activations, webinars, publications, roundtables, podcasts, and peer-to-peer programs.

  • Support scientific differentiation strategies that elevate the role of Kenvue brands through evidence and expert advocacy.

Public Health, Advocacy & External Engagement

  • Develop strategic partnerships with leading professional societies, public health organizations, advocacy groups, and academic institutions.

  • Advance shared agendas related to prevention, health literacy, equitable access, skin health awareness, and self-care.

  • Identify opportunities to shape scientific, clinical, and public health discussions through partnership and coalition leadership.

  • Serve as a senior external representative for Kenvue at congresses, stakeholder forums, professional meetings, and partnership engagements.

Insight Generation & Strategic Influence

  • Continuously monitor clinical, professional, consumer, competitive, and scientific landscapes.

  • Generate actionable insights from external stakeholders to inform:Portfolio strategy Scientific communications Innovation opportunities Claims development Professional education priorities Public health initiatives

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Marketing, Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Communications teams.

  • Proactively identify emerging opportunities, trends, and risks that may impact portfolio strategy and reputation.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with: Medical Affairs R&D HCP Marketing Commercial Teams Corporate Affairs Regulatory Affairs Legal & Compliance Health Economics and Outcomes Research (where applicable)

  • Ensure alignment of professional affairs activities with scientific evidence, compliance requirements, and business priorities.

  • Lead agency and vendor relationships supporting professional engagement and educational initiatives.

  • Manage budgets, external investments, sponsorships, grants, and strategic partnership activities.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Professional Affairs team members supporting Skin Health.

  • Foster a culture of external orientation, scientific curiosity, partnership excellence, and innovation.

  • Establish performance metrics and success measures for stakeholder engagement and educational initiatives.

  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across skin-health engagement programs.

What we are looking for 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Professional Affairs, Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Healthcare Professional Engagement, Public Health, Dermatology, Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device industries.

  • Proven experience developing and leading strategic relationships with healthcare professionals and professional organizations.

  • Strong understanding of dermatology, skin health, consumer healthcare, or adjacent therapeutic areas.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive outcomes within complex matrix organizations.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and external engagement strategies.

  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, NP, PA, MPH, PhD, MD, MBA) preferred.

  • Experience working directly with dermatology societies and organizations.

  • Established network within dermatology, skin health, public health, or consumer healthcare communities.

  • Experience supporting scientific communications, congress strategy, advisory boards, or professional education programs.

  • Experience leading people and managing teams.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$190,825.00 - $269,400.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
