What you will do

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating and verifying physical inventories, analyzing stock levels and consumption data to manage replenishment, and resolving inventory discrepancies. You will also develop reports, audit warehouse locations, and collaborate with teams to ensure accurate and efficient inventory control:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and optimize inventory tracking systems and levels across multiple distribution points, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies such as RFID and IoT sensors to predict stock needs, minimize waste, and ensure real-time inventory visibility and accuracy.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, sales, supervisors, vendors, and warehouse staff to develop and implement innovative inventory optimization strategies that enhance supply chain efficiency and address inventory challenges.

  • Lead and coordinate comprehensive physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and periodic audits using advanced software tools to maintain data accuracy, integrity, compliance with inventory policies, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

  • Analyze consumption patterns, item characteristics, and market trends to proactively adjust inventory replenishment strategies, reorder points, and par levels dynamically to respond to fluctuating demand and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and immediate inaccuracies in inventory records, sales order locations, and warehouse staging areas to safeguard financial accuracy and maintain seamless supply chain operations.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and detailed inventory performance reports that provide actionable insights into inventory trends, turnover rates, shortages, back orders, service part statuses, and potential bottlenecks for management review.

  • Provide expert guidance on inventory control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma

  • 3 to 4 years of proven experience in inventory control or supply chain operations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, for data analysis and reporting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable strategies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external partners.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in advanced inventory management software (SAP) and data analysis tools, with the ability to translate data into strategic decisions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative mindset to anticipate and resolve inventory discrepancies proactively.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Keen intuition to identify underlying relationship dynamics and align team efforts with organizational goals ethically.

  • Exceptional presentation skills to convey inventory insights and recommendations clearly to management.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and continuous process improvement.

  • Capability to balance short-term operational demands with long-term strategic inventory objectives.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$61,000.00 - $97,175.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
