Role reports to: China Cosmetics R&D Development Manager

Location: Shanghai

Travel %:~10%

 

What you will do

The Scientist is responsible for planning and conducting moderately complex experiments, analyzing results, keeping accurate records, and providing solutions to problems of moderate complexity:

Key Responsibilities

·       Execute assigned NPD (New product development), NPI (New Product introduction), Compliance, PED (Partner Enabled), or other LCM project for on time launch.

·       Technically manage existing products portfolio of certain brands in China. Support product or formula related troubleshooting or consumer complaint. Support new product launch, commercial promotion, or other business needs.

·       Technically drive or support CIP (Cost Improvement Project). Execute reformulation or process optimization for existing products to improve GP.

·       Support Compliance reformulation or BCP (Business Continuity Plan) projects of post launch products

·       Reformulation to remove none-compliance

·       Raw material supply issue or discontinuation (reformulation part)

·       Emergency case of Finish Goods supply.

 

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

·       Masters Degree or Equivalent in cosmetic or related field

·       2-4 years of proven working experience in scientific research and experimentation

·       Experience in conducting moderately complex experiments and analyzing data

·       Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Desired Qualifications

·       Demonstrated ability to design and execute experiments independently

·       Strong understanding of scientific principles and methodologies

·       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate research findings effectively

·       Familiarity with scientific writing and documentation practices

·       Experience with data analysis tools and software applications
