Principal Solutions Architect – Procurement Technology
This position will report into the Architecture Lead for Corporate Technology, and be
based in Bangalore, India.
Architecture is a core function in Kenvue Tech & Data (KTD), whose purpose is to
increase the velocity of moving from strategy-to-execution. We provide technology and
strategic leadership to the product teams and the lines of businesses. We lead the efforts
on application and technology portfolio rationalization and its modernization across the
enterprise. We actively support technology-driven changes and the adoption of emerging
technologies to strengthen Kenvue’s competitive edge and achieve our business
objectives.


What you will do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and
implementation of an AI-driven Technology Solutions as part of our Procurement
Transformation Program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable
and secure solutions that integrate seamlessly with our enterprise systems like SAP Ariba
and enables real-time collaboration among stakeholders through shared content, process
steps, documents, and AI-powered chatbot assistance. This role will play a critical part in
designing, governing, and optimizing enterprise level technology solutions that align with
business objectives. The ideal candidate will provide technology depth, drive innovation,
and ensure seamless integration across our corporate functions.
• Define and implement consistent solutions across the procurement functions.
• Understand the current business processes, and map the solutions to make efficient
use of data and technology to design a fit for purpose solution for business to operate
on those processes.
• Model the current and future state of technology solutions that could be implemented
through a transformation program.
• Collect and maintain an up to date metadata for application portfolios, application
interfaces, and business capabilitie components across the procurement.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate enterprise technology platforms, ensuring they align
with industry standards and best practices.
• You will collaborate to optimize the application, cloud, security and data architectures
that impact our Procurement technology, while ensuring they are efficient and
cost-effective. You will also continually identify and validate opportunities for
rationalization, consolidation, and modernization. Key aspects of the role will
include defining standards, developing policies, managing reviews, and offering a
blend of technical expertise with architectural acumen.
• You will ensure alignment with our business objectives and technology goals, when
designing solutions or frameworks. To communicate your architecture decisions and
strategies effectively, you will create technical collateral, not limited to C4 models,
ADR, UML, ER, pipeline charts, and other relevant articles, guides, schemas, imagery
or diagrams. You would provide participative consulting throughout the lifecycle of
projects you manage, offering guidance on emerging technologies and practices.
• Upholding our commitment to security, you will ensure that all architectures meet the
highest standards, particularly with data protection and compliance. Furthermore, the
role extends beyond individual contribution, to guide teams in fostering a culture of
continuous learning and innovation.


What we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Info Tech, Cloud Engineering or a related field.
• 8-15 years’ experience in enterprise tech, with expertise in architecture principles and
practices focusing on corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Security, Procurement)
within a retail or consumer technology environment.
• Past experience of designing solutions around the SAP ecosystem especially Ariba,
including the usage of enterprise integration patterns for the S4 Environment.
• Strong architectural skills in Cloud-Native, Serverless, and Lakehouse solutions, with
demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable microservices and event-driven
architectures.
• Advanced skills in using C4, UML, SysML, ArchiMate, BPML or similar.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Agile way of working, principles and
methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, Design Thinking)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a flair for communicating across
diverse teams.
• Strong proficiency in a modern programming language, SQL scripting, data and event
streaming platform, microservices.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP),
and security frameworks.
• Experience in working with large-scale, global enterprises.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Nice to Haves:
• Certifications in TOGAF, SAP, ServiceNow, or cloud architecture (AWS/Azure) are
advantageous.
• Expertise in data modelling techniques, including use of Databricks and Snowflake.
• Creating infra, app and data catalogues, while governing and managing product
lifecycles.
• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting.
