Role reports to: Material Supply Management Manager – Self Care 

Location: Thailand (or Indonesia/Malaysia) 

Travel %: Up to 10%, as required 

 

What you will do   

 

The Rapid Response Lead, APAC Self Care is responsible for leading high-priority supply continuity and remediation initiatives across Asia Pacific to protect customer service and business performance. This role serves as a critical connector across Supply Chain Planning, Material Supply Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Commercial teams to rapidly assess, prioritize, and resolve product supply risks. 

 

The successful candidate will combine strong project leadership, analytical thinking, and stakeholder influence skills to drive sustainable solutions to complex supply chain challenges in a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Lead critical remediation projects focused on mitigating supply disruptions with the potential to significantly impact customer service and business continuity. 

  • Drive rapid response activities across APAC markets and manufacturing networks, ensuring timely resolution of supply risks and constraints. 

  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Engineering, Commercial, and Finance teams to coordinate issue resolution efforts. 

  • Quickly assess risk exposure, prioritize issues based on severity and urgency, and develop actionable mitigation plans. 

  • Facilitate escalation management and decision-making processes during supply disruption events. 

  • Conduct root cause investigations to identify drivers of supply interruptions and recommend corrective and preventive actions. 

  • Develop and implement sustainable solutions that strengthen supply chain resilience and reduce recurrence of critical issues. 

  • Influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels without direct authority to achieve business objectives. 

  • Track remediation progress, communicate risks and updates to leadership teams, and ensure accountability for deliverables. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing agility, responsiveness, and operational excellence across the supply chain. 

 

What we are looking for  

 

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline. 

  • 3-8 years of experience in one or more relevant functions including Supply Planning, Material Planning, Procurement/Sourcing, Engineering, R&D, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Operations. 

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and coordinating cross-functional teams. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly evaluate complex situations and make sound business decisions. 

  • Experience assessing risk and translating ambiguity into practical and actionable solutions. 

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment without direct reporting authority. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences. 

  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring agility, prioritization, and rapid decision-making. 

 

Desired Qualifications  

  • Experience working within Healthcare, Consumer Health, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, or other highly regulated industries. 

  • Exposure to APAC or multi-market supply chain operations.   

  • Experience supporting supply continuity, business continuity, risk management, or crisis response activities. 

  • Knowledge of supply planning processes, S&OP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or materials management. 

  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma. 

  • Experience utilizing ERP and supply chain planning systems such as SAP, Kinaxis, OMP, or similar platforms.
