Corporate Affairs Central Europe, Senior Manager

Location: Neuss, Germany

Position Description: The Senior Manager Corporate Affairs Central Europe will be responsible for the development of communications and government affairs plans across key markets including Germany and Central Eastern Europe. This role reports to the Corporate Director, Central Europe.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs Director, Central Europe to create and manage effective corporate affairs plans that accelerate business growth and ensure access to our health products and solutions.
  • In partnership with the Corporate Affairs Director, manage the external communications and engagement strategy, identifying opportunities to support key brands and increase Kenvue’s profile with stakeholders across priority markets.
  • Provide strategic counsel to marketing teams on communications opportunities to amplify the brands in addition to any issues with potential to negatively impact the reputation of our brands.
  • Partner with the Corporate Affairs Director on the development and implementation of internal communications plans for Central Europe ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and equipped to execute business strategy.
  • Represent Kenvue in relevant Trade Associations partnering with the Government Affairs Brussels team, Regulatory Affairs, and internal stakeholders to shape our environment.
  • Partner with business leaders in key markets to identify priority public policy, government affairs, and public health/consumer access opportunities to maximize value to the business. Identify opportunities to shape corporate affairs initiatives that advance business strategy, address issues, strengthen alignment and convey Kenvue`s vision and priorities.
  • Cultivate and nurture a strong network of key external stakeholders who can support strategic policy objectives.
  • Identify, manage and support issues.
  • Manage and build relationships with key local media.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with internal and external policies, laws, and requirements.

Position Requirements

Education & Experience

  • University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Communications and Government Affairs in Germany and Central Europe.
  • Experience in Central Europe markets in Consumer Health is a distinct advantage.
  • Solid experience in complex issues management and government relations, with a demonstrated ability to navigate regulatory and policy landscapes.

Strategic Influence & Communication

  • Skilled judgement on positioning and tone of sensitive and complex issues is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze policy issues and environment, and to communicate policy research and analysis findings to a variety of non-expert audiences both written and orally.
  • Ability to shape narratives and drive impact through compelling storytelling—written, oral, and visual.
  • Good relationships with media in key markets, including professional/trade and social media, and the ability to influence key stakeholders across sectors.
  • Hands-on reputation management experience.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills with an ability to manage and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment effectively.
  • Demonstrated track record of working with and earning the trust and confidence of corporate leaders or governmental or social leaders and serving as a trusted partner/advisor.
  • Demonstrated collaborative style: interactive with the courage and conviction to challenge and defend ideas and strategies; ability to offer creative pathways or alternative solutions both internally and externally.
  • Organizational awareness and the ability to connect the dots.
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and work with other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and drive positive business impact.
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams, external consultants, and agencies, with a focus on collaboration and shared success.

Operational Excellence

  • Budget management and strategic planning experience.
  • Fluent in English and Germany (spoken and written); proficiency in Polish is an advantage.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior leadership at Kenvue and high-level external stakeholders, including political and regulatory leaders.
