- Maintain environmental management system (EMS) documentation, corporate level environmental standards, and training materials.
- Partner with site operations and EHS teams to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into daily activities and projects.
- Connects externally to industry associations and thought leaders to benchmark our goals, programs and processes.
- Respond to questions from and provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding regulatory compliance and sustainable operations.

- In partnership with Global Sustainability and Operations, lead or support initiatives to drive sustainable operations. Key areas of focus:
- Reduce waste generation, increase reuse and recycling, and improve waste diversion performance.

- Work to embed sustainability initiatives within functional team processes and procedures.
- Evaluate suppliers and waste vendors to ensure alignment with company sustainability and compliance standards.
- Develop and promote best practices for circular resource use and water stewardship across operations.
Pharmaceuticals in the Environment (PiE)
- Support initiatives to minimize release of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and other chemicals of concern to the environment.
- Partner with R&D, Operations and EHS teams to assess and control PiE risks related to wastewater discharges and waste handling.
- Maintain awareness of evolving regulations and industry best practices related to pharmaceuticals in the environment.
