This position reports into LATAM Head of Logistics Procurement and it might be based in São José dos Campos or São Paulo City, Brazil

Role reports to: LATAM Head of Logistics Procurement 

Location: São Paulo, Brazil.

Travel: up to 20%

What you will do

As Procurement Lead – International Freight, you will lead strategic sourcing, contracting, and supplier governance for international and regional transportation across Latin America, covering Air, Ocean, Inland Transportation, and Cross-Border Ground logistics. This role demands a high degree of ownership, agility, and stakeholder alignment across countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil. You will be responsible for delivering sustainable cost optimization, managing regional supplier relationships, and ensuring operational continuity through compliant, value-driven procurement enhancing operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Bidding Management: Run global, regional and local bids using Keelvar, including scenario building and award simulations. Conduct multi-round negotiations and freight forwarder consolidation initiatives. Ensure sourcing data integrity and full adoption of digital tools to support governance, modeling, and auditability

Contract & Risk Management: Manage Master Agreements, annexes, and regulatory compliance documentation. Maintain up-to-date records in the CLM System (Malbek). Liaise with Legal and Compliance teams to evaluate cross-border risk. Support stage gate documentation and ensure audit readiness for procurement decisions.

Cost Optimization & Financial

Governance: Deliver on Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs) and payment term extensions (goal: 120 days). Collaborate with Finance to validate baselines, track savings in Planisware, and ensure reporting accuracy. Monitor and reconcile forecasted vs. actual savings in Planisware, initiating corrective actions when needed. Conduct spend and cost trend analyses to identify optimization opportunities.

Supplier Performance & SRM: Lead post-award implementation activities, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and supplier scorecard tracking. Monitor compliance to agreed KPIs and initiate corrective actions with suppliers when service issues arise.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Co-create solutions with Trade Ops, Global Procurement, and Finance. Serve as a connector between strategic decisions and operational execution—translating complexity into clarity.

Category Strategy & Continuous Improvement: Develop and refresh category strategies for air and ocean lanes. Map logistics risks and lead contingency planning across the region.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, with a strong focus on international freight logistics (ocean, air, and cross-border ground transport).
  • Proven ability to manage complex bids and contracts across Latin America.
  • Solid track record of delivering cost savings, optimizing payment terms, and meeting key KPIs.
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing tools like Keelvar, contract management platforms like Malbek, and financial tracking systems such as Planisware. Proficiency in Power BI is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and cross-border risk.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Sourcing & Negotiation Strength: Skilled in multi-round bidding, scenario design, and negotiation strategies with logistics vendors and freight forwarders. Strong Process Discipline: Ensures sourcing, contracting, and financial tools are updated, audit-ready, and properly governed.
  • Post-Award Rigor: Maintains ownership over performance after award, including supplier implementation and KPI tracking.
  • Demonstrated leadership in process improvement, supplier consolidation, and long-term relationship management.
