This position reports to R&D Microbiology Manager. Based in São José dos Campos – SP, in a presential model.
Key Responsibilities
Active participation in routine microbiology laboratory activities, including microorganism maintenance, growth promotion, biological indicator qualification, and equipment qualification and calibration.
Support in and preparation for sterilization of materials, as well as preparation of culture media and reagents.
Responsible for inventory control and purchasing of materials.
Development and qualification of test methods for finished products and raw materials to support microbiological claims and demonstrations.
Preparation of technical rationales to support investigations.
Knowledge of microbiological standards and regulations to support internal and external audit processes
Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and global teams.
Effective collaboration with project team members, adhering to priorities, checkpoints, and timelines to support project objectives.
Proactive mindset focused on identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
A minimum degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food industry is required, with a strong background in microbiology.
Proven experience in test method qualification, test method transfer, and laboratory investigations is required.
Advanced English, oral and written communication skills are required.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with consumer products, including self-care, skin care, skin cleansers, hair care, oral care, and/or baby care products, is highly preferred.
