What you will do

The Scientist , R&D Consumer Science is responsible for the operational execution of R&D consumer studies. This role applies quantitative and/or qualitative methodologies at our internal testing facility or in collaboration with external vendors to explore consumer habits, product sensorial experience, and key performance attributes across our iconic brands, including Neutrogena, Tylenol, Stayfree, Listerine, Johnson’s.  

Key Responsibilities

• Execute internal and external quantitative and qualitative R&D consumer research following GCP principles.

• Coordinate participant management, including recruitment, screening, informed consent, and study incentives within internal facilities.

• Develop study schedules, timelines, and operational plans.

• Prepare research materials, including activity plans, consent forms, and operational reports.

• Design questionnaires and interview guides for quantitative or qualitative studies.

• Register and route all research documentation and activities for approval in internal systems.

• Systematically acquire, analyze, interpret, and coordinate consumer data.

• Oversee the sample release and labeling processes.

• Monitor ongoing projects, ensuring timely operational support to study owners.

• Track AE/PQC during study execution and escalate as required.

• Manage DIY online research tools/platforms, from survey programming to report output.

• Present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.

• Leverage data science, advanced analytics, and AI tools when appropriate.

• Ensure high‑quality execution of internal and external processes according to company standards.

 

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Science, Health Sciences, Social Science or related areas

• Advanced English

• Strong communication and public‑facing interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Adobe tools.

• Knowledge of statistical analysis principles.

• Knowledge of Power Platform for internal metrics, dashboards, and workflow automation.

• Ability to prepare clear and detailed study reports.

• Data science savviness and ability to work with digital tools.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience in quantitative or qualitative market research.

• Experience with VBA or low‑code automation, including the ability to design logical workflows and translate processes into automated solutions.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Familiarity with GCP principles for in‑human studies.

• Proactive, detail‑oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
