Lead Platform Engineer
The Lead Platform Engineer is responsible for leading, developing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure software and infrastructure delivery solutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in AWS, Azure, Github, Docker, Kubernetes, Nexus, SonarQube, Secret Management and other DevOps tools and technologies as required. Experience in javascript / Python.
Essential Functions
Implement CI/CD/CT pipelines using Git Pipelines to build, test, and deploy a wide variety of software workloads for key stakeholders across the company.
Assist in development of DevOps strategies and best practices to ensure efficient and reliable infrastructure.
Design, Build and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure platforms.
Develop automation solutions and identify tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
Design and build Data Engineering and MLOps pipelines.
Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git Actions / Jenkins to ensure efficient software delivery.
Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes for scalable deployment and management.
Collaborate closely with development, operations, and QA teams to drive product roadmap.
Ensure high availability of Enterprise platforms ( Github, Sonarqube, Jira, Atlassian etc) Enhance performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency.
Building utilities and frameworks to automate and provide selfservice utilities for Kenvue engineers which helps to build secure code and ship faster
Education, Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 7+ years of experience in DevOps roles, with a strong emphasis on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
· Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible.
· Expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
· Expertise knowledge and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
· Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Akeyless or Hashicorp Vault.
· Comprehensive understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
· Hands on experience integrating and managing enterprise artifact repository tools like Nexus.
· Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Github or Kubernetes certifications.
