Lead, Solution Architect
This position reports to the Manager, Data Engineering and is based at Bangalore, India.
What you will do:
As the Lead, Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and guiding the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Azure Data, Analytics, and AI
- Drive the implementation and scaling of Data, Analytics & AI workloads across Azure, supporting businesses throughout their cloud transformation journey.
- Collaborate with engineering, business, and project management teams to scope, design, and deliver customer-facing solutions, tools, and proof-of-concepts.
- Design, develop, and manage scalable data integration tools, warehouses, and analytics systems using modern data engineering practices.
- Create and automate complex data processing scripts, queries, and operational workflows to optimize data utilization.
- Lead the deployment of data models into production environments, including data ingestion, monitoring setup, and compute management.
- Monitor system performance and data pipelines, adapting solutions to evolving models, data sources, and business requirements.
- Partner with enterprise architects and stakeholders to evolve the data platform’s maturity, ensuring cost optimization and architectural excellence.
- Support cross-functional teams in prototyping, scaling experiments, and standardizing reusable assets, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Champion best practices in DevOps, DataOps, and Agile to enhance performance, consistency, and model production workflows.
- Stay current with Azure/cloud advancements to lead experimentation, coach teams, and enhance platform capabilities.
- Mentor and train colleagues junior team members
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
- 6 – 8 years of work experience with at least 4 years of experience as a Cloud Technology based – Solution Architect
- Strong experience in architecture design, cloud modernization, and migration strategies.
- Domain expertise in consumer/Supply Chain data, including External Third-Party Data
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS data management tools such as Azure Data factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks (Pyspark)
- Good scripting, data modeling and programming skills
- Implement DevOps, DataOps and Agile methodologies to improve KPIs like cycle times, consistency, and quality.
- Hands- on different tools for Data Engineering (Databricks, SQL), Data science (Azure ML, Knowledge of different DS models), DevOps tools and languages like Python or Dotnet.
- Develop and optimize procedures to “Productionalize” data science models.
- Manage & support large-scale experimentation done by data scientists.
- Design and prototype new approaches and build solutions at scale.
- Understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices
- Experience in the design and build of end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to scalability, reliability, and security standards
- Familiarity with version control systems like Bitbucket, Jenkins and DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines
- Exceptional communication and Influencing skills; ability to share ideas in a compelling manner that gains commitment from others
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Good knowledge of Agile principles and process.
Desired Qualifications:
- Subject matter expertise on Azure Data, Analytics & AI with experience Azure architecture design
- Good understanding of migration and modernization strategies and approaches
- Preferred Industry experience in Manufacturing & Consumer Products
