What you will do

The Legal Entity Team Lead role will support the legal entity (LE) financial reporting process, ensuring the integrity and precision of the LE financial statements, tax filings, reporting packages, and other relevant reports. Responsibilities will include streamlining month, quarter, and year-end closings within established timelines, handling high importance/complex items during entity closings, and managing local audits. The position requires interaction with Business Unit (BU) Finance, providing crucial financial data and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the timely assembly, submission, and sign off of financial statements, which includes the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, alongside local tax requirements, internal reporting packages, and other mandatory reports in alignment with established accounting standards.

  • Execute timely close activities, which includes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounts for each legal entity within their jurisdiction.

  • Oversee internal controls and introduce enhancements as necessary to safeguard the integrity of financial information.

  • Liaise with BU Finance teams to understand trends that may influence LE reporting and tax compliance due to local regulations.

  • Regular and timely update to immediate manager, Legal Entity Controller of assigned tasks or projects, including any issues or challenges encountered for prompt and effective resolution.

  • Coordinate with external auditors for Legal Entity audits.

  • Monitor the progress of local audits, supplying necessary aid as required.

  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by the immediate manager such as preparation of adhoc reports and analyses.

Stakeholder Interaction:

  • LE Controllership:

  • The LEA Senior Team Lead will closely support the LEC on all matters pertaining to entity financials and other local filings, audit requests, etc.

  • Finance Operations teams:

  • The LEA Senior Team Lead will support the Finance Operations sub-teams with transactional financial close related activities and resolving any audit related matters.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required in Finance / Accounting.

  • Strong auditing background and/or strong foundation on technical financial accounting standards

  • Fluent in English, other languages desired.

  • Experience in SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft tools.

  • At least 7 years of experience in Accounting/Auditing, leadership, problem solving, process improvement, and communication.

  • At least 2-3 years of Management / Supervisory experience is required.

  • Excellent analytical, communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, matrix style environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to execute and follow through on key tasks and ensure key documentation requirements are met.

Desired Qualifications

  • CPA or related professional certification preferred.
