The Manager, Data & Analytics Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and managing the IT development team to deliver new and enhanced applications that meet business needs. You will oversee project planning, provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes:
Key Responsibilities
• Spearhead the design, implementation, and oversight of scalable data architectures and IT development projects that empower advanced analytics and ensure alignment with business objectives and timely delivery.
• Lead cross-functional teams to innovate data engineering and application development solutions that enhance data quality, accessibility, security, and system performance across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into actionable data strategies, engineering roadmaps, and detailed project plans.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship to high-performing teams of data engineers and application developers, fostering continuous learning, creative problem-solving, and skill development.
• Drive the adoption and enforcement of best practices, standards, and methodologies in data governance, IT development, and system integration to ensure compliance while enabling agile and high-quality operations.
• Evaluate, integrate, and optimize cutting-edge and third-party technologies such as AI-driven data pipelines and real-time analytics platforms to maximize system performance and business value.
• Innovate monitoring, optimization, and communication processes to maximize system reliability, provide regular status updates to senior management, and ensure efficient resource allocation and budget management.
What we are looking for -Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in IT development or data engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven expertise in managing complex software development or data engineering projects through all phases including design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of IT development methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts and liaise with stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
• Strong foundation in data systems and analytics.
• Demonstrated expertise in modern data technologies including cloud platforms, ETL frameworks, and big data ecosystems. Strong experience in Snowflake, DBT, ADF, Tableau / Power BI is a must.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams towards innovative data solutions.
• Strong analytical mindset paired with creative problem-solving abilities to navigate and resolve intricate data challenges.
• Proven experience in designing data governance frameworks that balance regulatory compliance with operational agility.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and project plans.
• Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams to achieve high performance and professional growth.
• Familiarity with evaluating and integrating third-party software products and technologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills to influence strategic decisions at all organizational levels.
• Budget management experience with the ability to forecast and optimize resource utilization.
