HybridWhat you will do
The Manager, R&D Quality and Compliance, Canada is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Kenvue Quality Standards by leading audits, , driving continuous improvement, and supporting research and development sites in maintaining high-quality standards and inspection readiness. You will provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage quality and compliance activities effectively:
Key Responsibilities
Review and critically evaluate R&D documentation to ensure compliance with industry best practices, regulatory expectations, and Kenvue Quality standards, providing scientific leadership and direction to support product development initiatives.
Act as the R&D Compliance representative and provide guidance on applicable Canadian regulatory requirements and Kenvue Quality Standards.
Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of advanced quality control methodologies and requirements to elevate R&D project outcomes and ensure strict adherence to regulatory and internal standards across Canadian operations.
Represent R&D Compliance in cross-functional innovation initiatives by providing expert technical guidance and strategic leadership to teams including technical operations, engineering, and regulatory affairs, integrating quality assurance with research and development to accelerate product lifecycle efficiency and quality excellence.
Develop, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of R&D Analytical laboratory personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, scientific curiosity, and professional growth.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to pioneer and represent compliance strategies and quality programs that anticipate, exceed industry standards, and ensure the integrity and reliability of scientific data and metrics at senior management forums.
Drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced analytics, emerging technologies, and thorough validation document reviews to optimize quality control processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, enterprise policies, and company standards.
Champion sustainable practices within R&D quality frameworks, aligning product development with environmental and safety regulations while navigating robust risk management tools to proactively identify and mitigate potential quality challenges in novel product development.
Manage research projects focused on process improvements aligned with business objectives, ensuring compliant completion of project milestones such as test methods validation, , developmental stability protocols/reports, and preparation of comprehensive research documentation.
Leads and supports inspection readiness and internal and external regulatory audits.
May require up to 10% domestic and international travel
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance and compliance and/or research and development environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, forecast outcomes, and make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a successful track record of managing cross-functional teams and enabling business growth and innovation.
Proven ability to identify, assess, and manage risk using sound risk-based decision making to support compliance, quality, and business objectives.

Proven ability to integrate advanced analytical tools and emerging technologies to transform quality assurance practices.
Exceptional strategic thinking skills with a track record of driving cross-departmental initiatives that enhance product integrity and compliance.

Experience in driving compliance programs, quality assessments, and regulatory/GMP audit preparedness within R&D settings.

Exemplify leadership behaviors aligned with organizational imperatives, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Proven experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, with additional experience in other sectors considered an advantage.
A visionary mindset with a commitment to sustainability and ethical practices in research and product development.
Deep understanding of international quality standards relevant to R&D activities.
What’s in it for you
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$108,700.00 - $158,700.00
This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
