What you will do

The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations with minimal direction, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production. This role leads teams, troubleshoots equipment and processes, ensures product quality, and supports continuous improvement. Acts as backup to the Manager when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Compliance:

  • Ensure all manufacturing activities follow safety, environmental, and GMP/quality standards. Identify and report deviations promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and develop staff, provide coaching, conduct performance conversations, ensure proper training, and foster engagement, collaboration, and inclusion.

Production Execution:

  • Oversee equipment setup, operation, adjustments, and maintenance. Partner cross‑functionally to meet production schedules and resolve technical issues.

Training Management:

  • Ensure employees remain current with required certifications. Act as SME, curriculum owner, and qualified trainer when needed.

Investigations & Audits:

  • Support and approve investigations, act as SME during audits, and manage commitments from regulatory or internal findings.

Documentation:

  • Review, edit, and approve SOPs and other quality documents. Ensure accurate, timely completion of all GMP documentation.

Systems & Product Knowledge:

  • Serve as SME for product/process requirements. Utilize applicable systems (SAP/ERP, automated systems, MS Office) to manage operations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote Lean/PE principles, identify improvement opportunities, and lead kaizen and process‑optimization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business preferred.
  • Experience:
    8–10 years (or 4–6 with bachelor’s) in regulated manufacturing; pharmaceutical/GMP preferred. Prior leadership experience required.
  • Skills:
    Strong knowledge of FDA/EMA/cGMP, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, leadership skills, and experience with root‑cause analysis, risk assessment, and technical issue resolution.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$90,100.00 - $127,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
