What you will do

The MFG Mechanic Operator is responsible for the packaging of finished goods to assure quality and compliance. Ensure that all good are packaged in accordance with established procedures and specifications according to current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, Safety and Company policies. Performs and supports the continued implementation of maintenance programs within the area of responsibility. Performs and coordinates the equipment preliminary assessment, preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and modifications. This position is considered sensitive for safety reasons because it includes job responsibilities that may impact the health and safety of the employee, co-workers and/or the general public, or may result in significant property damage if performed under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates and configures packaging machines and equipment following all safety precautions, environmental and quality requirements specified, by way of fulfilling the production plan.
• Performs the disassembly of the equipment and the line cleaning, effectively, to avoid cross contamination.
• Performs periodic testing and mechanical challenges to ensure that machinery is operating properly.
• Performs the Setup, adjustments and the challenge to the CPPs on the different inspection systems.
• Makes packaging equipment adjustments, diagnoses failures and minor repairs. Troubleshoot to solve mechanical, electrical and pneumatic situation.
• Performs and document adjustment and mechanical, electrical and pneumatic repairs.
• Performs and documents preventive/corrective maintenance to packaging equipment assigned for their optimum conditions operation and to comply with the Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Supports/works in various activities for the equipment maintenance and efficiency levels improvement for the packaging área.  Audits packaging equipment, to identify improvement opportunities for the equipment efficiency and functionality.
• Identified SOPs, PM, Packaging Batch Record opportunities for process improvements.
• Supports Technology during validation process and recomendar actualizaciones a los equipos de empaque para aumentar su productividad.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a Technical Degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electro Mechanics, Electronics, Electricity or a Higher School degree with four (4) to six (6) years of experience in the role of mechanic in the areas of pharmaceutical.
• Four (4) to six (6) years with proven experience in manufacturing areas as mechanic or operator mechanic.
• Electricity / Electronic basic knowledge and troubleshooting expertise.
• Preventive / predictive maintenance concepts CM, PM, TPM).
• Knowledge on Automated Packaging Equipment and Processes.

Desired Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electro Mechanics, Electronics, Electricity is preferable.
• Experience in PLC, HMI and automated packaging equipment is preferable.
• Demonstrates mechanical application experience in equipment setup, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of the Electrical Systems (up to circuit breaker), Electronic Circuits and components; troubleshoot Electronic Circuits and Systems.
