What you will do

Currently, the Kenvue Guelph site is looking to recruit a Student Quality Technician (Co-op) for an 8–12 month term (12 months preferred) starting in late August / early September 2026.

As a member of the Quality Laboratory Team (Microbiology), the successful candidate will support microbiology and analytical laboratory operations while developing hands-on experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment. The co-op student will take on increasing responsibility throughout their term and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

This is a fully on-site position based in Guelph, working closely with a team of microbiology analysts and reporting directly to the Laboratory Supervisor. 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support laboratory testing programs by preparing reagents and solutions
  • Perform microbiology testing support activities in a regulated lab environment (based on RSM context)
  • Maintain laboratory areas in an audit-ready state, including general housekeeping duties
  • Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory glassware and equipment
  • Assist with ordering, inventory management, and tracking of laboratory supplies and chemicals
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation aligned with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
  • Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and aseptic techniques to support a safe work environment
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within lab processes
  • Participate in training programs and onboarding activities to support development within the lab environment

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program or closely related field (preferred fields: Microbiology, Biology / Life Science, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Comfortable working with computer systems and documentation tools
  • Previous co-op or lab experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques is considered an asset
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) / GDP / GLP is an asset

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$34,000.00 - $49,450.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
