What you will do
The Packaging Associate Manager is responsible for
- Lead India TO PKG team in terms of process improvement in terms of improving the working process, covering package development team to develop strategy of packaging formats to pilot the total product prior to entering commercialization stage bridging the gap between design and scaling development.
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative packaging solutions that improve product quality and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize packaging improvement opportunities.
- Lead the team to standardize trade customization design across region
- Guide the team to find more opportunities in terms working process improvement and simplification
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications and standards that meet regulatory requirements and customer needs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to packaging engineers and designers.
- Manage packaging testing and validation processes to ensure product integrity and safety.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in packaging design and functionality.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement innovative packaging strategies and initiatives to meet consumer needs and enhance brand image
- Monitor and report on regulatory and customer requirements related to packaging
- Ensure compliance with government and corporate guidelines and laws for packaging projects
- Provide leadership and direction to the packaging team, managing workloads and project assignments
- Collaborate with research and development, marketing, and operations to identify and address unmet consumer packaging needs
- Facilitate technical writing of packaging procedures and documents as needed
- Develop systems to monitor expenses versus budgets for packaging projects
What we are looking for
- Degree in Polymers/Plastics/Packaging/Chemical Science/Chemical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering (masters preferred)
- Expertise in Package development, molding, prototyping, package testing and design for manufacturability (DfM)
- Exceptional cross-functional, cross-regional collaboration and communication
- 8+ yrs experience in package development and exposure to pilot/manufacturing fill & assembly
- Understand the capability of packaging innovation of key strategic suppliers or related external service providers
- Understand the market and industrial trend of packaging material and innovation
- Proficient in CAD, Packaging Development, material application, conversion technologies, DfM principles, consumer use analysis.
- Ability to use statistical tools to analyze data and provide recommendations to relevant departments.
- Capable of offering guidance and overseeing the team to achieve results in accordance with commitments.
- Ability to create development plan for the team and design team structures to support project pipeline
- Understand the compliance and regulation related to packaging material and testing in each market country
- Ability to communicate across the organization, including succinctly communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders and business partners.
- Ability to balance multiple stakeholders, both across functions and geographics.
- Ability to provide scientific data, analysis and recommendation to LT when need to escalate
